Hi,

Just a quick question to anybody who has ever been prescribed Buvidal. I was prescribed a month-long 64mg depot dose of Buvidal on 14/5/2024. Prior to that I had been on 8mg Buprenorphine supervised daily. For many reasons - far too complex and boring to go into here - I didn't adhere very well to this regime, which wasn't particularly strict (especially after a week or two) in observing my taking the medication on the premises: this allowed me to walk out of the pharmacy with my pill(s) still in hand - stockpiling for binges, going off script, etc.

My question is this: does anyone have any experience of how long it takes a monthly 64mg depot injection to leave their system before they can experience effects from heroin/other opiates? I've read varying studies - some of which say that it can be up to four months before people begin to discern withdrawal symptoms after their last injection.

FYI: Prior to the Buvidal injection, I would smoke around £60 - 85 of heroin a day.

I only just saw this, but I was on the 64mg monthly buvidol shot for around 4 months and I could get high again at around 6 weeks after the last shot.

"Sublocade has a half-life of about 43 to 60 days. (...) In general, it takes about five half-lives for your body to completely remove a drug from your system."

Assuming the half life is the same monthly buprenorphine formulation as Suboclade, it would take between 215-300 days until the drug is fully out of the system. Opioids would be able to be felt somewhat sooner than that though.

Thank you! I've heard that tramadol and kratom works even though on buprenorphine, do you have any experience/info on that?

If its somewhat below 4mg sublingual opioids in general should be able to be felt afaik (there surely is an equivalent dosage for the injections). I didn't hear about specifics from tramadol or kratom.
