Heroin Withdrawl..

Yo, i just came off of heroin. When I withdrawl, I get this really annoying feeling in like my joints. Where I shoot in my arms(like the elbow part), my knee's, and my ankle's. I guess I can describe it as a crawling feeling. I can't sit still, and I get real anxious. Well im through the withdrawl, but I still get this feeling once and awhile. Is this normal? It drives me crazy. I guess it'z my nerve's regenerating, but how fuking long will I be haveing this? I got prescribed to .50mg's of Adivan for this reason. Will this help? Is .50mg's strong enough? Thanks

It will have to be strong enough. If your simptoms are physical you can't do much, but if they are mental there are many things you can do to take your mind off the shit.

Your pain has nothing to do with nerve regeneration. You're nerves should be fine.
How long ago did you quit? It seems like your thru with the accute physical wd and are now experiences some chronic symptoms. That'll pass soon.
Your anxiety however will most likely persist. 0.5mg of ativan is a child's dose in my opinion. I was given 1mg ativan for opiate wd + 10mg methadone and it was completely worthless. I stockpiled the ativan till I built up a 6mg stash and then popped'em.
Try to score some better benzos and things will get much better.

yeah 0.5 mg is almost nothing... that's what they gave me for anxiety after weeks of skillful asking (and i knew exactly what to say)... this is why you don't try to get benzos in a drug rehab hospital (i wasn't there for rehab though).
it kind of sounds like the feeling you're getting is a craving kind of thing... i got a lot of weird pains and sensations in my arms (and hands) after i stopped shooting K..
i really don't know what you can do.. ativan should help, but, see, you're a Drug Addict and they will only give you abusable drugs in useless token doses. doses that won't help at all. you could try asking for more... maybe even if you have to take it in front of them so they can make sure you aren't having fun with their drugs.
