alright so my gf and i have used iv heroin on and off over the past year currently on. We are generally pretty careful and keep emergency naltrexone syringes in case of overdose and make sure there is ample time between each of us using to detect overdose. We have always used together and always the same dose. We accomplished that by taking the amount of powder we want for both of us and dissolving it in 60 units of water thrn after filter we would split it 30-30. So suffice it to say we have similar tolerances if anything hers is higher than mine as illustrated by the effect the high has on either of us. im generally more apt to nod and experience all of the other side effects, but its pretty even. for the record i am 5'11" 200 lb and she is 5'8" 120lb. Earlier today we had gotten some stuff from our dealer which i believe was fentanyl. we have gotten the same stuff times before and while the rush is very similar the duration of action is an hour at most compared to the usual 4-6 hours for the actual stuff. We prepared it like normal and 5-10 minutes after injection she became unconscious, started turning blue, experiencing respritory arrest and severe bradychardia (20-40 bpm). I revived her with our emergency naltrexone shot but im curious as to why it had little to no effect on me and nearly killed her. after the rush i felt little to nothing. does anyone have any ideas?

It does sound like fentanyl-based dope to me. A lot of times when batches are mixed and cut or even based with mainly fentanyl, sometimes it isn't all evenly dispersed throughout the batch.

Multiple times have I did a shot out of the same batch as someone, barely felt anything, yet they are on the brink of possible death, and vice versa. This has even happened when I have split a shot in water with somebody... 30/30 like you guys do is what I usually do too. She prolly just happened to draw up most of the shit, and you would up with whatever else was in there mostly. Luck of draw there, it could have gone either way.

Scary.
But fascinating in a way.
Perhaps individual responses to these ultra-potent opioids varies greatly between people?

I also wonder if it is possible that the solution was not a homogenous mixture, despite being mixed up together? I'm not a scientist, so i really have no idea and just speculating.

It sounds like you are doing the best you can regarding harm reduction. I'm glad to know you are taking every precaution to prevent a disaster.
This fent-dope epidemic is absolutely horrifying, i really feel for you guys.

Really glad to hear your girl is ok.
Please make sure you always have as much naltrexone on hand as you possibly can, it can sometimes take more than one shot to be effective.
Stay safe <3

Yeah, wish I had the naloxone shot handy when I was in a similar situation not too long ago.

I shot a friend up with an obvious fent-dope mixture. Kind of clear, with a slight tint to it. I even said to him, " man this looks like kind of a big shot, and he said oh I just put a lot of water on it, here, hit me right quick. " I hit him, then proceeded to finish mixing mine up. He walked to his closet to put his rig up, and started the standing nod, I was like fuck, OK man, I am going to help you to the couch. So I slung his arm over my shoulder, and getting frustrated because he kept clinging to the wall corners, I drug him to the couch.

As I was finishing doing a shot of my own, I heard like a high pitched wheezing sound. I thought it was outside like bad breaks on a car, but NO. IT was my friend on the couch, and rapidly turning blue!! FUCK!!! I started smacking the fuck out of him, which was not working! I had no choice but to administer CPR! All the commotion and noise woke his roommate out of his own nod, and Shit got worse this dude would not wake up! We picked him up and carried him to the shower, blasted cold water on him clothes on and all, which seemed to shock his system, but he fell right back out! Me and his roomie continued administering CPR while he was laying there in the shower, and alas he finally came to slowly but surely....

My bud said he only remembers waking up in the kitchen soaking wet. I don't know if it was all the adrenaline because of that ordeal, but I did a moderate sized shot of that same Shit right before that happened and hardly felt it. That didn't matter I was just relieved he wasn't a goner.
