heroin time frame after dosing suboxone

so I got a quick question of simular scenarios above but still in ways different. I took 16mg of subs today and today only, before that i had been doing H. If I were to wait lets say 18 hrs before doing some really good H via IV what are my chances? I have experienced with taking 2-4 mgs of a sub one day in the past and gotten high that same night, not sure how much insight that gives on my metabolism or w/e but I think I may be Ok to do a nice shot of H around 18 hrs from when I dosed 2x8mg subs. If possible please reply asap as that 18 hr marker will be coming up in like another 6 or so hours and would like to hear your opinions before potentially wasting really good H.

I think you'll be wasting your H. Buprenorphine has an elimination half-life starting from 20 hours, mean 37h.

The buprenorphine will still be bound to your opioid receptors for a good while longer, and has far higher binding affinity than heroin. I'd wait at least 36-48 hours.

I've found around 48 hours is the maximum time that subs can block opiates. I was using 2mg to detox and come off in January last year, and even 800mg of dihydrocodeine 30 hours or so later after my dose did nothing. Fucking fantastic drug subs for getting you off the gear. It really stopped me in my tracks in the space of a week, even had a 2mg tab left and took 0.5 of it 6 months later and that shit got me high as fuck, most intense opiate high I've had to date.

If you've dosed 16mg it will be a significantly longer time too I'm sorry to say. It might be up to a week at that dose - that's why addicts of H or strong full agonists on high doses to prevent relapse for a long time and remove all the positive reinforcement from the gear if you've been trying to use it.

Man if you're trying to get off the gear with subs (I only assume you're doing so) then why bother with the H? You don't need it. Don't give into your cravings, and anyway even if you do it won't do anything.

Well ya took a huge dose of 16mg so id wait bout 48hrs. I did a 4mg sub yesterday (don't kill all the wd but helps me get outta bed) and 4mg today at 5pm. Ima wait till Monday nite which is bout 2 days to do any dope.

I feel ya though stay on the subs. They the only thing keepin me off the dope and they're relatively cheap compared to all those bags of dope I do everyday.

Agreed. <1mg it barely blocks shit, especially after 12 hours. But 16mg's is a pretty big dose... Even after 24 hours you're still going to have around a full 8mg's in your system depending on your metabolism and whatnot. Be prepared to wait a while to get back to normal if taking that much bupe.
