Heroin - The Ho Hum drug

OK, so I've been having a bit of fun with the old chopping the nurofen +'s in half and scarfing down that codeine goodness, and I've decided that I might try heroin and see how I fare with that. I've IV'd speed a fair bit so that was going to be my method of administration.

After a few tries of this over the period of a few weeks I still hadn't gained any real "breakthrough" and was becoming quite dissapointed with this drug. So on friday after I got paid I went and bought a substantial amount for someone with a mild codeine tolerance. I think it would be about 1/2 a gram of #4 herion (white powder).

I had a quarter of a gram during the day spread out into 3 shots. This gave me somewhat of a relaxed opiate feeling but nothing to write home about. I had another shot at 5pm and this gave me a little bit more....at about 7pm I loaded up my final two shots into one and shot that...unfortunately the needle came out a bit and I ended up only recieving 75% of the shot....nevertheless.

I finally felt the euphoria that I had read about.......so.....what?

I don't see what the big deal is with this drug. I mean it was good and all. But I can hardly remember the night after my last shot, but I do remember thinking Ho Hum, this is so.......fun..... It gave me no insight into anything, which I am used to having been on all kinds of uppers and or hallucinogens etc for a while.

For the price I would rather buy nurofen +'s. Also the drug could be quite dangerous as you neglect small things that you wouldn't if sober or sped up. Example, I fell asleep with a cigarette in my hand and only noticed a small sting which woke me up. It turned out to be quite a severe burn.

I also woke up feeling like utter shit, my body ached and I was very lethargic. I can see why full-time users need more the next day just to feel "normal". Thank God I don't nessasarily like this drug. (and it is so expensive!) So I slept though the next day.

Ultimately I don't feel that this drug is productive to me being an active member of society which is something I'm trying to pursue. And I also don't think that it would bring me any joy even if I only did it once a week. Besides a great pain killer it is a waste of money for me.

I wonder if this wouldn't be more suited in a regional discussion rather than Trip Reports? (though I've no doubt the merits of heroin and it's negatives have already been discussed a lot), and I've no doubt it's purely subjective.

At least if you're not keen that much on it, you've saved yourself money..

Yha Heroin sucks. It's made me feal like a bloated house wife watching Opera, but that's about it. It was cool to go to the grocery store and steal cheese at 3 AM dressed up all nice and stuff. But that's only because you have to dress up nice, since Heroin is so glamorous and all. 8) Peace, Spinal
 
Well, just feel REALLY lucky you didn't like it. It's a drug that can steal your life from you. I would say just stay content with not liking it and don't touch it again, for your own safety.

i have wanted to try it so bad but havnt had the chance too... i just want to try it one time.........should i or shouldnt i?8(
 
I say that you might as well try it. If you leave it, it will always be on the back of your mind and then if it is offered to you in a situation where you might normally refuse but accept it because the desire to try it has been in your mind for a while, an accident may happen.

If you use it in a controlled environment the likelyhood of it all going smooth is quite high. However in the example above or similar a mis-hap can, and often does happen.

Of course you might end up loving the drug like so many others before you, so that is the other risk....but of course you know this.

then you feel not much. which, if ur life is bad, is a good thing i guess.

of course do what you will but i'd advise any friend of mine not to bother.

i never knew my uncle, but he was a heroin addict and he ended moving to spain to get away from the cops here in america. I think now he is somwhere in the U.K. at some meth clinic. so im gonna try to stay as far away from heroin as i can
 
good for you man, life will probably be a lot easier, so be thankful that you didnt like it

I can see what you mean, but I totally disagree with you personaly though. I used to be into psychs for the incredible meaning and revelations they brought me. however psychs are not always enjoyable, in fact I find they can make your life feel more stressful than it really is.

opiates are BY FAR the most releaving/sedating/relaxing. after a hard week of work id rather be sober than take psychs 9 times out of 10, however one night of opiated bliss can give me the energy to go for another week. total relaxation
 
Never tried heroin, but tried oxycontin a few times.
What would people prefer?

I'm sure heroin "smacks" you on ya ass a lot more, and can probably send you to sleep. But is it like the euphoria of Oxy? Or the mind movies?
