Heroin Detox Live in centres

Im looking for a Heroin live in detox centre. It doesnt have to be in Australia but that would be preferable due to cost.


Im after a place with the full treatment using Buphrenorphine and or Naltrexone. Counceling and group therapy.

Ive looked up a few on the net including one at Koh Samui Thailand.
If anyone out there can help me with other places that would be great.

Many private psychiatric hospitals do drug detox as well. Naltrexone and buprenorphine should be available to you in any private hospital that does detox, and AFAIK they are available in public centres too. Naltrexone isn't funded by the PBS though, so it can be expensive.

If you search at google for "private psychiatric hospitals" you'll get some services. For example, The Sydney Clinic has a program. You'd probably need to find a psychiatrist who could admit you, but I imagine if you contacted them they would explain how to do that.

Watch out for these guys though - it's the Scientologists! ;)Narconon
 
I knew a guy that was really drunk at a party one nite, went into the pantry and took a cocktail of Naltrexone tablets and alcohol, lucky he was taken straight to hospital
from what he told me all he could see were bubbles!

element^ed: Good luck with your search for information, and I hope the inpatient will be able to find, with the help of the live-in centre, the strength and will they need to kick their habit in the long-term.

I don't know anything about detox centres beside Odyssey House in melb eastern suburbs but I think you'd know about that already.

Upton House and Odyssey House are common centers here. But check in at health centres for more in Eastern Suburbs. There is plenty.
 
twominds: just to clarify, the residential detox unit in Box Hill is called Wellington House. ACCESS (outpatients and home based service) is located in Upton House, but "Upton House" is supposed to be the name of the psychiatric unit only (downstairs). Everyone gets it confused! I only point this out in case anyone wants to contact them.:\
 
Yes its called Wellington house, Upton house is the site we're you stay in. Its away from the hospitial. don't want to confuse any. PM me for more detailed info.
