Cool story, bro. You opted not to read my post at all.
So when I am withdrawal; Sweating, twitching, can't think right, and my eyes are watering I should wait until I get home huh? If you get a regular dope dealer that you see everyday for years the doses are pretty much the same bro and if you get a new stamp you ask how it is and bang half to be on the safe side.
What about a benzo dependent person? I guess when they should wait to get home before taking their Xanax and not worry about having a seizure while driving or a panic attack right?
Or me. I guess when I drive to the clinic every morning, I should tell the nurse that I will have my dose to go. I wouldn't want to take it and risk driving home.
Looks like I hit a nerve with you. Why can't we discuss this (important) issue in a civil manner without petty "you didn't read my post at all!!" comebacks?
This is obviously not a black and white issue. I said as
a rule of thumb, you should not get high before driving. You have to consider that a good portion of the people copping dope are not HEAVILY dependent on dope to the point that being sober for an extra 30 minutes is more dangerous than getting high right away. And I know for a fact that many of these non-dependent users get high before they drive back home. This is a no-no.
And good for you that your dealer gives you consistent quality dope. But you're the exception, not the rule. Street heroin is notorious for its fluctuating purity. My point stands that in 95% of cases, it is wiser and practical to wait until you get home to get high. That you got away with driving safely under the influence of impure street drugs a number of times does not speak to the safety of the practice.
Say the chances of your dope being unusually potent is 1/1000 (a conservative estimate). If you cop dope 50 times, that's a 5% chance of nodding the fuck out, potentially killing someone, getting possession charges, DUI charges, etc. Multiply that by the thousands of people copping dope everyday, and you've got a serious issue on your hands.
Your other point is a strawman. If you're getting xanax or whatever else under medical supervision, then you're guaranteed to know what dose you're taking and have a very good understanding of how it will affect you. I reiterate my point on this not being a black and white issue when it comes to benzodiazepine dependence -- the risks of this
particular dependence means a maintenance dose of xanax before going about your day is not only justified, but probably necessary. Dope withdrawal isn't nearly as dangerous as benzo withdrawal. You're deliberately confusing a complex issue.
