Cool story, bro. You opted not to read my post at all.
So when I am withdrawal; Sweating, twitching, can't think right, and my eyes are watering I should wait until I get home huh? If you get a regular dope dealer that you see everyday for years the doses are pretty much the same bro and if you get a new stamp you ask how it is and bang half to be on the safe side.
You know that most dealers always say their shit is fire. You are better off asking a fellow user how the particular batch is. Even stamps change though, especially is Jersey where it's very inconsistent. That's part of the reason why they stopped the stamp thread (not getting into the other reasons, just mentioning part of it). Also, people copping in open air markets don't go to the same crew all the time, and even if they do they don't always go through the same dealer.
What about a benzo dependent person? I guess when they should wait to get home before taking their Xanax and not worry about having a seizure while driving or a panic attack right?
I know my 1mg of xanax is going to be 1mg of xanax today, tomorrow and 50 years from now. Even so, I have definitely avoided driving or pulled over for a nap at times when my usual dose of xanax made me more tired than usual. On the other hand, I don't know if my bag of dope will be the same today and tomorrow. I'm lucky to have a consistent dealer so I don't have to worry much about that, and a stamp is usually the same give or take a tiny bit, but in some areas you just don't know.
Or me. I guess when I drive to the clinic every morning, I should tell the nurse that I will have my dose to go. I wouldn't want to take it and risk driving home.
A lot of people crash their cars after taking methadone, but that's mostly during the induction phase before they are stabilized. I'm not at all saying that you shouldn't drive after being dosed, but just pointing out that it wasn't the best argument to choose since there have been a lot of accidents caused by people taking their normal dose a methadone, enough so to cause debate about whether or not they should be able to drive.
What I'm getting at is their is a difference between doing a quick toot of some dope (or even a 2 bag shot for someone that usually does a 5 bag shot to function) to take the sick away until you get home to do the rest, verses doing your regular amount that usually gets you well but may be stronger this time. That's why they are called 'accidents.' People don't think that they are doing a dose that is going to make them nod out while driving, otherwise they wouldn't do it. It's always because they get way higher than they planned, whether it be because the dope is fire, or they took a little break and didn't realize how much their tolerance dropped.
There are still some hardcore addicts out there that will wait until they get home to do their shot. Some do it because they don't want to do a smaller shot to begin with just to feel well since it will take away from the rush they can get from doing the bigger shot at home, and others do it because they don't want to risk it. Either way, you can't compare taking a dose of street drugs to taking a dose of a pharmaceutical drug. The main reason that heroin is dangerous is because of unknown purity and cuts, so if it wasn't such an issue then there wouldn't be so many overdoses.
