Opioids Heroin and paralysis

So a couple weeks ago my friend iv'd their heroin in their leg as usual and then about an hour later awokened on the floor with their legs none functional. Tried to get up and just had their legs collapse under them like jelly.

managed to pull herself onto her bed but the paralysis lasted for about 30 minutes. She was very scared it was permanent.

Also afterwards there was noticable little ticks happening. Like her head would sway a little like you would imagine a tweakers head may do. These shakes and ticks were happening completely against her will.

So my question is...
I have googled the fkkk out of this subject and cant seem to find much.

I suspect a TIA stroke with temporary paralysis. But Idk. Has this happened to anyone else?

She should see a doctor. But was she laying in a way that would cut circulation to the legs?

Was too out of it to recall. I dont believe so. Woke up literally on the floor so wasnt as if body was leaning on legs or anything.

& Yes especially w the neuropathy she suffers from in her legs probably a good idea.

Did she do a rather large dose? Opioids have anti-cholinergic effects at high doses, especially in the non tolerant, or after an abstinence.

Ticks can also be psycho-somatic-and often are. If she was freaked out about her leg, it could have caused such a thing.

But then, it could be serious. How the hell should we know? But other than the fact she injects into her legs(which is begging for DVT) I can't see anything major out of what you said.

Sorry it is awfully vague.
And no the dose was only a point which is still high for her low tolerance.
Missed with lexapro abilify and lamicatal.
Which I think the anti-psychotic interaction may play a fair deal in this and the appearance of ticks.

I was more or less looking for others with similar experience.

BTW, weakness of the legs is a known side effect of opioids, and general numbness can occur with high doses.

It seems fairly obvious these are side effects of an excessive opioid dose, exarcebated by the other meds she is on.

Your looking for "experience" but these exact effects are uncommon and finding someone with the exact(or almost exact) situation will virtually impossible.

The real question is: why is someone with no heroin tolerance shooting up in they're fucking legs? I have never shot up in my legs, and I have been injecting for years.

Its because arm veins are like most peoples hand veins and roll like crazy.
Ive always hit my legs. I have no tolerance because this was in the midst of a relapse after a 6 month period of abstinence.

That is why I hate the "avoiding self-incrimination" bullshit. Normally I assume people are referring to themselves, but for some reason this time I didn't!

Well your question makes more sense now, but the answer is pretty much the same. Again, sorry...

You should really find another place though, trust me, an embolism can be quite painful and downright fucking scary...

I'm not as sure on the last one you mentioned, and know little about abilify, other than it being a partial dopamine antagonist, but lexapro is generally ok with opioids. But be expecting things like "tics" and jerking with all the meds mixed, though it should go down with tolerance. The legs would for sure, however your damaging circulation, and unlike the superficial veins of the arms, veins in the legs cannot reroute themselves.

You should mainly watch out for sudden chest pains, which could be the result of leg injection...(and subsequent nasty shit that goes with it...)

But nothing like that should happen anytime soon

Haha ya. Idk this was my first post then I saw everyone was using I anyways.

But anyways thank you. I think the only issue is the seroquel. It's really affecting the euphoria of my highs :/

And I do have a couple of veins that have collapsed so I supposed that is pretty scary.
