Heriloom indica medicinal strain

As/If pot is legalized the seeds to be after won't be super hybrids or exotic sativas's IMHO. I have always been curious of an heirloom mostly indica (or strain where the off spring are the same as the parents.)

I am curious if there are any good indica strains like this left. Basically one would grow for medicine and the offspring "seed", not growing/breeding for the obscure psychedelic attributes of a high..

Did the dutch cross breed so much that a good land-race indica is impossible to find short of a camel ride?


As a chronic pain patient even in my teens I never wanted the paranoia, memory tricks, and mind fuck with weed. I do believe that the wrong kind of weed can bring out latent schizophrenia. Once 25 years ago I found and subsequently grew a strain which would best be describe as the closest thing to opium in the marijuana Genus. Ant-inflammatory, calming, nodding, pain killing, smelled just like PEZ candy. Unfortunately it was slightly hybridized and its genetics were lost years ago (this was the early 90's.)

But that has always left me wondering if such qualities could be obtained in an non-hybrid seed where one is guarantee the same results each generation.

Any suggestions to look for?

I found Afghani (the strain is called Afghani) to be my favorite indica so far. Actually, it's probably been my favorite strain in general. After a few hits, you can feel all your muscle tension releasing. It's so crazy relaxing in low doses, and a knockout in higher doses. It's really hard to make a good strain recommendation since there are so many good ones out there. I also don't know if it's an "heirloom" strain, but I know it's an older landrace strain.

That's my two cents, and I really don't think you'd be disappointed with Afghani.

Maybe some other bluelighters could chime in to help this guy make a better decision?
