Opioids Here We Go Again...(W/D question)

As I mentioned in a previous thread, my dependency to opioids/heroin was fully broken earlier this year. After suffering through it, I lived clean, happily, but began chipping in early June. I kept this up at random intervals throughout the summer with no problems of dependency/WD. Until now.
I have been IVing 90-120mg of morphine (MSIR tablets) for about a week and a half. I took my last dose Monday morning. I am now dancing to that old familiar tune of withdrawal: runny nose, yawning, goose bumps, painful stomach cramps. It's not that bad, but still WD symptoms.
My question is this: does anyone with EXTENSIVE experience with morphine know if my WD symptoms are going to intensify? How long will it last? To break it down simpler: will a person who was non-dependent, with moderate tolerance, suffer hard and for very long? I do not have much experience with morphine, otherwise I could answer this question myself.

morphine has a short half life in terms of opaites, so the detox should short but very intense since it is a opiate. expect 2-3days is what i read, i never iv'd morph though

Yeah I've read a lot about it too, but I usually go by people's anecdotal reports AND data collecting. Thanks though

I was addicted to morphine for years...

The initial withdrawal lasts about 3-5ish days. (Did for me, heavy heavy use)

The latter lasted for about 2 months until I was able to sleep normally again.

I have been on morphine for years, up until 2 years ago I could always go one day without getting sick but as it got worse, I could use before sleeping and wake up vomiting and I got up to 600 mgs a day before putting myself in detox. That was bad, even taking 6 Subs, 6 vistril, 6 Librium I was still vomiting every day and after 6 days I had bad anxiety attacks and I left the detox and got 200mg morphine capsule and 8 OC 30s and shot them all passed out and was back in the detox the next day with a court order for 60 days of treatment. That was followed by weeks of no sleep.

Other than that I have detoxed in jail with nothing a few times and the 2nd-5th day is the worst but still followed by many sleepless nights and depression.

the site medhelp.org is a great place to get support on the substance abuse forum . I got off a 8 year addiction to pain killers there.

I didn't use intravenously, but I will say that in my experience, Morphine withdrawl is a lot easier, generally speaking, than w/d from say Oxycodone or Heroin, which IME is brutal. Coming off of 200-300mg of Morphine per day was not as bad as coming off of as little as 60-90mg of Oxycodone per day. Just my experience though. I'd expect it to get a little worse, but not for long at all, especially since you've been using the MSIR form. I always had MSContin, taken orally, which made w/d drag out.

I have gone through withdraws 3 times from oc. It seems to me that everytime i have relapsed after being clean for a decent amount of time, the withdraws are always worse than before. Anyone else notice this or is this how its supposed to be?

You're in for a decent kick man.I've been scripted oc,which I snorted, and when I got my morphine script a couple years later it was IV all the way.I've never been off of opiates longer than 24-36 hours in my 4 year addiction.but that amount of time without was really rough.much rougher than my oxycodone withdrawals.I would shoot 100 milligrams per shot 3 times a day to maintain.sometimes 200 mg's a shot for a nice rush to give you a dose comparison.IV morphine is strong.100 mg's IV=~160 mg's of oxy IV IMO

WD from morphine isn't to bad at first but after you do alot for along time it gets very bad, I have WD from all of them and like I said before I used to wake up vomiting, I was wearing a hoodie in florida because of the chills. It can be bad. Only doing the morphine for a week though, shouldnt be to bad coming down.

Thanks everyone. Update: I took a small "booster" dose of 15 mg about six hours after I originally posted this...by then I wasn't feeling too shitty--same symptoms, not much worse. That made all symptoms vanish long enough for me to get a good night's sleep, and today I feel basically normal, except that cigarettes taste horrible and make me feel sickish, and I think I may be yawning a lot (though it could be my imagination--every time I yawn I am reminded of severe W/D...*shudder*). Oh and I also took 10 mg loperamide because from the cramping and burbling in my stomach, I knew diarrhea was well on its way.
In a nutshell, it's been almost a full day since my last dose and I am feeling just fine--functioning normally, normal appetite, etc.
