I'm doing a research paper on synthetic opioids versus natural. I read on some sight that there is an herb called "Herbacet" that can be taken in place of percs...has anyone had any experience with this? I'm interested in the euphoric side effects of herbs versus the "real" stuff, as well as adverse side effects. I've found information on the pharmacology, but it didn't really touch on how they affect you versus how the others, such as Percocet and Vicodin, do. I obviously know what the synthetic drugs can do, but I know nothing about the herbal stuff. Does anyone out there?

Alright I have searched for a good 10min now and I haven’t found any product by that name. I know that there is not and herb called “Herbacet”. I also know of very few herbs or combinations of which would produce anything remotely opiate like other than plants which contain opiates…. Usually poppies. Can you give a link or provide a site that describes this plant mixture or product in more detail…. Like what it has in it? Many many of these herbal blends are um…. well……. crap-rip-offs designed to take advantage of people who are looking for “natural” alternatives or “legal” alternatives but know nothing about what they are really taking and buying. Placebos that make millions….. I would be wary of any site that claims to sell an herb that replaces a synthetic opiate analgesic….. but that is just me.

from the abovementioned web site...
"This product delivers a very potent and and synergistic formula, designed to promote Pain Relief!"
oh, that's swell. it doesn't give you pain relief, it PROMOTES it!
heh. caveat emptor.

Right, promote pain relief, thus help relieve pain.

As I thought…..
There are “theoretically “ actions that all of these herbs/vitamins may have if you are a rabbit or small animal. The dosages are pathetic unless the pills are really big. Kava Kava is active after about a cup or two of dried material. Feverfew, while somewhat effective reducing fever and migraine is usually active around 2-4 leaves. You would get more Bromelaine in some fresh pineapple. These pills are a joke. I hate these bastards. This is blatant false advertisement in my opinion.

There's no way this shit does anything. C'mon! When's the last time you heard about some kids abusing Herbacet or your buddy rolling hard off of a few Herbal X's? It's bullshit. It always is. This product is designed to promote gullibility.
