I used to smoke daily a few years ago. Now I'm back on a recreational usage after a few years where I didn't smoke at all.

However I get extremely low blood pressure now whenever I smoke, and I've gone cold a few times. I've google'd the relationship between blood pressure and THC, but some sources say it reduces BP, others say it causes high BP/panic attacks/etc. (I've always felt fairly cool when smoking bud, except for worrying about when I'll hit the deck).

Does anyone get this problem? Is there anything you can do about it? I asked my doctor about it, and he just said the obvious ''Uhh, then don't smoke?'' 8)
Which I totally agree with, and I don't smoke now unless I know I can just chill on a couch if I feel it coming on.

It's just my curiosity that wants to know if I'm alone or what the straight dope is on THC and BP. Thoughts?

i too am troubled by the thc blood pressure relationship. i need to keep low blood pressure, though. i'm no doctor, but in my use i've found that large amounts of smoke do cause a rise in blood pressure... ive then heard that the thc in the smoke helps lower blood pressure.. so in theory it's the smoke that makes it rise, thats why i use a vape :)

Smoking has never made my BP go down, always up, which is a good thing because sober it's usually down to 90/60 (even lower when I stand up, I almost faint every time without weed) on the edge of hypotension.
