Hello there,

recently I was wondering, why the benefits of hemp regarding things like fabric production, nutrition (hemp seed oil is very healthy), and a lot of other things, is no big topic with the people promoting cannabis legalization/decriminalization?
In my opinion, Cannabis as a natural ressource could be very beneficial for agriculture, industry and also the ecosystem in general (as it doesn't need as much fertilizers, pestizides and watering as other crop plants (especially cotton)).

maybe I see it the wrong way, but I feel that the legalization movement focuses mostly on cannabis as a medicine or the right to get high with a relatively benign drug (not that I don't agree with that, but still...)

In my opinion many people would agree that hemp is a useful plant when educated about the advantages, even if they don't really agree about it's purpose as a drug.

I hope this sparks some kind of discussion...

other than the states no one really banned hemp... so I don't know... but look up hempcrete its pretty cool

check out NORML's site. there has been a lot of recent discussion on this topic. it seems that several states are considering legislation to allow the commercial production of hemp. I think it's a logical byproduct of the decriminalization trend that we've been seeing.
