I took 1mg xanax on 1/01/15 and 11 days later (yesterday) 1/12/15 . I took 1.5mg.. I have a job interview tomorrow and I need to take another 1.5 but I'm scared about addiction .
Are my fears warranted

No, you won't become physically addicted after 2 days of consecutive use (what you're proposing). Most people can become physically addicted after two weeks of consecutive use, but everyone's different. There's also rebound anxiety that will occur, but that's after a maybe 2-7 day binge. After that you may become a little physically dependent. Benzo's are NOT to fuck with. The withdrawal is worse than heroin in most people's opinions, and it can last a long, long time. That xanax you had 11 days ago? Don't worry about it, it's already removed from your system, and your tolerance is most likely reset (for benzos/xanax).

Anyways, the only fear you should have about addiction, is your psychological one. You said you have a job interview tomorrow and "need" to take another 1.5. This is telling me you're using an excuse for your drug-use. "Oh, I have a interview tomorrow, I don't want to stress out and blow it". Well, this excuse will manifest into more excuses, for using the same type of drug (benzos). Next, it'll be "Damn, I gotta talk to my boss today about promotions, I know it'll be super-stressful, so I need a xanax". Or, "I've had one stressful day, I deserve a xanax".

With benzos, don't play around. Use the xanax, max, one time every week if you don't want to become physically-dependent, but you could become more and more psychologically-dependent after more use and uses of it as a quick fix for stressful situations.

Thank you soooo much.. I'm super worried about taking it again after only a day.. And at the dose I do.. I don't wanna have a seizure or anything !

No problem, you usually see people getting seizures after going cold-turkey from a high mg, long consecutive use (its possible to have a seizure with as little as a month with 1-2mg/day cold turkey, up to 15 years low dose (maybe .5/day) use that could cause a seizure). This is why benzos aren't to be fucked with for a long period of time with no abstinence.

You'll probably have a little rebound-anxiety after the xanax wears off tomorrow, since you've taken 1.5 (high dose for intolerant individual) for two consecutive days, that's about it. A seizure from benzo withdrawal is actually one of the more hardcore withdrawal symptoms, only really happening to those who are physically dependent on benzos, and have accustomed their brain to function with them... Without them, withdrawal sets in. If the addiction was bad, a possible seizure could/may occur after quitting cold turkey, not so much with tapering (at that - the correct tapering method).

If you're fearing addiction maybe you should consider why. That amount of xanax is certainly not going to get you physically hooked, but it can just be the act of taking it when you get nervous that gets you hooked. If you're really concerned with it then don't take the xanax. You're not addicted, but you can get addicted to Xanax. It's a good refreshing thing to see somebody worried about a xanax addiction. One every now and then when you need it won't start an addiction. Not the best idea though to take 1.5 before an interview if you don't take xanax that often. You do want to be alert and focused for your interview, if you need it try .5mg

So I took 1.5mg xanax and three days later took 1mg klonopin ..10 days later(today) I took 1.5mh klon.... Is ten days enough to prevent withdrawl ?

This post has a lot of wisdom. Tread carefully, OP. A trickle turns into a torrent before you know it.

OP seems like you have an good attitude, good to be safe and thinking about these things. 10 days apart from each dose should be fine to prevent withdrawals.

Benzos are absolutely NOT to be fucked with (too high of dose, too often..), and this is coming from a heroin addict. Benzos and alcohol are the only two substances that can kill you in withdrawl, although opiates may feel like you're dying.. Around about 2009, I had a boyfriend that got me really into xanax, we sold them and had a ton at our disposal.. I had taken it several times before, but wasn't that into it, because I found that it would just knock me out, and I wasn't that impressed. Anyway, once I started eating more and more of them, was up to about 6-12 2mg bars a day (which is honestly, just ridiculous and disgusting.. No one needs that barred out.. Ever. It was gluttonous.), I hadn't really thought much about withdrawing from them; I always had plenty, and I was slightly uninformed about what would happen if/when I did WD. Anyway, long story short, I had never had a seizure before in my life. Ever. At this time (09), I was 24.. That whole year, I had ended up having appx 20 seizures.. And let me tell you, those things are HELL on your body!! At first they would just blindside me, and all of a sudden, I would wake up on the floor, surrounded by my boyfriend and friends, and was so confused and freaked out, I had no idea what had happened, I had chomped my tounge a nice chunk out of it, bad news bears.. Eventually, I could start to feel them coming on and notice the symptoms ahead of time.. (I.e. I'd get super cloudy headed, stutter a little, would start dropping anything I was holding (ciggarette, phone, etc.. Repeatedly.), start twitching a bit, then my fingers would start to curl up and it was like I was being electrocuted or stuck in time, I would feel my eyes roll back, then BOOM, darkness. It was just awful. Anyway, I was eventually able to get off of them, but not before I had to go do a month in county jail (first time ever), and had togo cold turkey off of heroin and xanax. It almost killed me. Just PLEASE be careful, because the thing is, I never even really liked the way that they made me feel in the beginning, but man, in the end, I literally couldn't live without them. Be safe, my dear! If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me! xoxo

I have an inoperable chronic pain condition for which I had been taking Vicodin 7.5mg. 4 times daily and had been prescribed by the Spine Center I was going to. They were not successfully treating my pain and so referred me to a pain management physician (who is in the same multi-physician facility I've been going to for the last 5 years, since moving to my state). I like this new pain physician very much. He added MS Contin 15mg. twice daily, advising me to take the Vicodin as needed for breakthrough pain. Backstory: 6 months prior my PC had prescribed Xanax 1mg. tablets for sleep, advising I could take one to one and a half milligrams each night, and it has been working wonderfully. As I said, all my doctors belong to the same multi-specialty facility. They ALL have access to ALL my records and medications. Because this new pain management doctor added the MS Contin I decided to go off the Xanax, which was on my records and the pain doctor knew I was taking it. But since the dose had been so low, I thought it would be okay to stop. (I NOW know... I know... I should have asked him if that would be okay, but I didn't want to be taking so many "controlled" substances if I didn't need to, I only had one Xanax tablet left at that time anyway and I didn't want to ask him for a refill thinking I would just stop taking it. No more. No less). So now I'm on the MS Contin and Vicodin regimen (I take no more than 1 Vicodin a day, in halves, if needed) everyday starting 5 days ago. Everything was going fine for the first 4 days. No symptoms of withdrawal whatsoever until Friday afternoon around 3:00. Now I am experiencing muscle tremors and spasms, but other than that nothing more. I have no anxiety, this is not painful, I am not panicky; those are the ONLY symptoms I have. It even took me awhile to figure out that this was a Xanax withdrawal. My question is: can I expect it to get worse than this, or will this just get better by itself over time? These symptoms have lasted for almost 3 days at this point, and I am NOT in any way uncomfortable except for the spasms and tremors which are pretty much just an annoyance. Thanks in advance for any help.
