Miserable here in Houston. I realize a little research would probably help… But I'm going to ask regardless because taking the easy route is about all I can manage right now. Again, LOL.

Day 3 of oxycodone detox (got down to snorting one 30mg Wed., 60 the day before, from 60-180 mg daily habit for 4-5 months)

Day 1 of hydrocodone ( 10-50 mg somewhat daily for...3 years, but tapered of a lot in last 4-5 mos. due to oxy use, 1-3 x10 mg per day for last 2 days to help with oxy w/d..

I am not going to say I am in hell like some of what I have read about W/D here, but I am pretty miserable.

Any suggestions? Work out / Sweat it out? Lots of fluids? Vitamins? Which ones? Just smoked some bud, I would say it helped a wee bit but nothing like what I want.

I don't have access to anything...gonna have to ride it out. What worked for you?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

If you don't have access to anything other than OTC and store-bought stuff, I'd say ride it out with plenty of water and juices, hot baths, exercise, LOW DOSE Immodium (to control diarrhea, not to try to flood your opioid receptors with loperamide - doing this has recently been found to be correlated with heart complications leading to death), and cannabis (like you said it doesn't relieve all the symptoms but it's better than nothing).

I also like hot tea if it's cold out or iced tea if it's sunny (but watch out for caffeine - if insomnia is a feature of the w/d symptoms you experience, caffeine will obviously make it worse). I drink decaf teas when I'm in w/d, just in case.

You might be tempted to sedate yourself with alcohol. It's certainly your right if you wish to do so but from experience I can say the hangover afterwards isn't worth it because you'll still be in withdrawal, and now hungover. It's like a shitty loan.

That's about all I got. Good luck man. Next time try to stockpile some buprenorphine (but hopefully there won't be a next time).

Also, UTFSE %)

Edit: Despite lacking an appetite, you should try to eat at least small amounts of reasonably healthy foods. Stuff like fruits, whole grains, etc.

I'd like to add, eat soft foods that are easy to get down, try drinking nutritional supplements like sustagen. Fruit juice and gatorade as well, bannas also help a lot. Also sedating antihistamines like benadryl or promethazine can help you sleep.
