Help With Suboxone

my girlfriend stopped methadone at 40mg on thursday(27th) and her dose was at 930 am. She waited till saturday(the 29th) at 930pm to take her first strip of suboxone. She was very sick. Hot and cold, nausea and total restlessness, sweating, shaking, extremely uncomfortable. She threw up shortly after taking the first suboxone strip. She waited half an hour before she took another one. For most of the night she was tossing and turning or pacing. Sweating, extremely hot. She cant eat and cant sleep. Today is sunday(the 30th) and she just took another strip about 30 min ago at 1:00pm. She has only been on methadone for a couple months. Highest dosage she went too was 66mg. We believe she waiting long enough before taking the suboxone
She started throwing up and getting sick real bad before taking the first strip of suboxone. We are both extremely familiar with withdrawals and know symptoms quite well. She was using H before she got on methadone. Her tolerance was extremely high. So with all of this in mind. Is she taking enough suboxone At 8mg/2mg? Should she take more? We need all the help and experience we can get. Please share whatever you can. Thankyou. I just want her to be ok and feeling better

8mg should be more than enough for a 40mg meth habit. is she still sick now?

did she take another 8mg today, or did she do 8 yesterday and 2 today? if so, she should do more.

I think OP meant 8mg/2mg as in buprenorphine : naloxone ratio (suboxone strip formulation).

OP, even though it seems she waited quite a while before using the sub, I understand (not from experience) that methadone has a very long half life, and she very well may have precipitated acute withdrawal, which would explain why she felt so bad so long after taking 16mg.

Even though it seems you waited long enough, that's the only explanation. 16mg buprenorphine should blow 60mg methadone out of the water by a wide margin. She should really only need 8-12mg.

Try again Monday and let us know what happens. I suspect she should start feeling better (if she hasn't already - all that bupe is still swimming around up there and ought to bind soon).
