Hey folks...
Ive been growing this San Pedro for roughly 3 years now and it's 14.5 inches tall with a diameter of about 8 inches. I've read alot of conflicting information on all of these points, so clarification would be great!
I plan on eating it soon....
1) I want to leave some at the base so it continues to grow. How much would you recommend to leave? An Inch?
2) I have been deliberately starving it of water to increase mescaline content as I have read various reports stating this to be condusive to higher mescaline content. Now I am reading that this is false. Does anyone know for sure?
3) I know theres no way to know how potent it is, but i dont have any experience with eating a freshly chopped cactus, so generally, would you say that a 12/13 (if I leave an inch or two to continue to grow) inch chunk of San Pedro is going to be enough/too much/too little?
I was planning on basically leaving 2 inches and chopping up/de-spining 12 inches of it, boiling on a low boil in some water for 3 hours or so.
Advice?
