I have 10 days clean off of heroin but today is really bad I cant stop craving I want it so bad, its ruining my day i cant get it out of my head, does anyone know what can help with these I dont want to use but im afraid if I dont figure something out im going to go buy some very soon.

I know exactly what you're going through because I'm in the same spot right now. Only thing is, I haven't kicked, so if I don't use like I regularly do, I'm going to be sick. Aside from that, I really just want to get high. The most you can do is exhibit some willpower and tell yourself that the cravings are just thoughts, and the thoughts aren't real. It's way easier said than done, because impulses are a bitch. In my situation, I work a 9 to 5 but two years of unemployment after an 8 year gig really messed up my finances and during this time I got back on H, due to depression and other factors. I'm staying with my rents at the moment but I have to cough up some of my check so that A) I save and B) I'm not using. So it's either I can afford my habit and I'll be homeless, or I'll have a home, food, but be miserable. Either I do what you're trying to do and find a way to just shut the cravings down, or I find a way to get good.

One big game of chasing my tail.

I don't know how bad your last kick was but 10 days, you've got to be out of the woods by now, at least the physical aspect. If you go back and use, just remember that you've got to start all over again. It will be hell, just like the last time.

I don't know if the whole acupuncture treatment is a scam or not, but that's been said to help curb cravings. Good luck.

There are tons of threads about this same topic. So many of us have been there.

Check out these detailed instructions I posted on dealing with cravings here

And here's what I just said to someone else in a recent thread:
"This too shall pass". It sounds cliched but it's true. If you remember you don't have to act on a craving, it will go away sooner or later. I was feeling this way a little while ago, craving really hard, and because I didn't act on it, focused on doing other stuff, reminded myself of all the reasons I don't want to start using again and that I was kidding myself to think I could just do it once, and made it difficult to get drugs (delete that dealer's number for example) the feeling only lasted for a few days. Now it's gone :)

Stay strong! <3

Congratulations on being 10 days clean. That's a great accomplishment and a huge positive step in the right direction.

Cravings are part of withdrawals and getting clean. You ARE going to crave the drug like crazy, but know that this is going to pass, just like Swimmingdancer said. The cravings and withdrawal symptoms will not last forever. Once you get past the worst, there are indeed brighter horizons ahead of you.
