My wife is spiraling out of control again. She's willing to get help but where, who? Rapid Detox? Is it okay? Safe? There's a place in Michigan called MDT, any ideas? There's a place
near us that will do an 8 day out patient with neltrexon also.

She needs help. We're outside Chicago. She got arrested 4 hours after leaving the ER that I took her too because I was in fear of another interaction.
She left the house with the garage door wide opened went to the store and so out of it she walked out with out paying. Now she has that to deal with. She's back in a clincal depressed slightly comatosed state.

She needs mental help with anxiety/depression.
She also needs to get off the methadone. But now I wonder which is most important. Issue being no one will take her in with the 120 MG of Methadone. What do you suggest? Should I tak her to the hospital and let them put her in a psyche ward where she can get mental treatment and methadone? IM so confused/scared. Thank you

Hi,

I see you've been on the site for a little while. I would move your post, although - if this is her current state we cannot give you medical advice.

I'm so sorry she is suffering so much, and you are in this place at the moment. I've been in similar situations. I would focus on first things first instead of outcomes via having her assessed. She needs to be stable to have underlying disorders (not that disorders cannot be documented), evaluated - prior to mental health ongoing treatment. If she needs to slowly taper off the methadone or stay on it they need to look at this.

I would bring her back into the ER, then go onto the next step. For example something to think about:

1) What triggered this episode? If she is stable after assessment perhaps she can move forward for a m/h eval.
2) Is she on other substances or has she adjusted her MMT recently?

I would check out the Dark Side forum for yourself while you are in this situation to receive advice for 'you' - if at all possible.

For her though, again... yes - you need to have her assessed. I would bring her back to the hospital via what is happening (mostly pointing to being in a 'comatose' state that does warrant medical necessity).
