Fail to provide sources, eh?
You are only the second person on Bluelight to ever request such a thing from me.
I knew this day would come...
Let me explain: it took 4 months of constant searching/reading/digesting scientific data for me to come to my conclusions. It was a very slow and hard-earned accomplishment.
At the time, I knew that saving resources to cite would be beneficial, but I did not know
while I was searching, which references would turn out to be most important. Saving all of them would have slowed down my progress considerably. To go back now, would likely take me weeks/months to establish my citations.
It would also involve a period of re-sharpening my 'opinions'.
This is not a minor task, by any means. Consider the fact that scientists still struggle to agree on all the details.
But I am considering it...
Have you ever tried to search Google Scholar or Pubmed?
The number of results on MDMA is astounding.
In the 90's there were about 30 papers per year on MDMA.
Since 2000, there have been 100 or more per year!
Luckily, I found some of the early research to be the most useful in establishing my basic knowledge of the 5-HT system. Later research is dominated by more advanced or simply subjective material.
The story put forth by the OP is pretty straight-forward.
MDMA is the cause.
Responses that look for alternative explanations, when MDMA has
thousands of research papers pointing blame squarely at IT, are deserving of 'strong opinions'.
And contempt.
I do not go around claiming that all these foolish MDMA users on Bluelight are going to end up like me, Casey, CatintheHat, Somedud, Bben, Cyc....(the list goes on)
No, I simply state that science strongly suggests that they are making permanent alterations to the nerves that connect the intestines to the brain. There is NO opinion in this statement, sir. There is NO debate among scientists on this basic truth, either. It is the long-term implications that are at debate.
When MDMA users claim with certainty that they are suffering severe consequences
directly related to MDMA use, I support them with my advanced understanding. Casey is not the first.
Others on Bluelight that feel its necessary to respond with
typical statements of denial, deserve to be corrected.
Moderators, such as yourself, are usually much more cautious about being too supportive of MDMA. Even you agree that, if abused, MDMA is
fully capable of causing the damage described in this post. Right?
If not, I suggest you join me in hours upon hours of research.
You might be surprised by what you learn.
I'll let you know when my 'citations' are underway.
