Help! Someone Booby Trapped My MSContin!!

Wow, and I thought I'd seen it all. I must be doing something wrong. I need some seriously knowledgable replies here. I wish PhreeX was around. Ok, here's the "dil", I walk down the street to go get a OC 40 for the day. I don't find it right away and don't feel like being there for more than a couple minutes. So I take what the girl has, an MSContin 100mg, gray, PF 100. Ya know. So anyway I was at a loss since I'm rather unfarmiliar with this particular packaging of morphine. I do know however, that Morphine is best when injected by like 100 fold. I figure these are identical to OC's and I know how to shoot OC's. So I cut 25mg off the pill and do the OC extraction procedure nonsense. I noticed in the beginning that these are tougher to get into powder, the binding matrix is very waxy. Oh well, I used a razor to get it super fine. So to make this long story shorter, I inject the 25mg that is actually 10-15mg if I did good. I feel it and get a sudden huge rush of warmth and itchies into my head. Yay, it worked I thought. Then it disappeared. The itching, everything. My eyes were normal. Is there some naltrexone or nalaxone in these pills??? There can't be. Why did this happen? What can I do next time to avoid it? Thank you.... ;-)

I'm a little high right now, but I know what you mean about MS Contin. I came into a couple 30mg pills. I scraped off the coating of one of them and snorted the whole thing. My opiate tolerance wasn't very high, but my pupils were pinpointed for a good 6 hours afterwords. I was somewhat high, but mostly disappointed. The other 30mg pill resulted in the same.

I am not sure what the deal was with your MSContin. It's interesting how the person above me commented that a 30 mg pill did virtually nothing and was short lived. If this is the case, what kind of reaction could one expect by crushing about 120 mg and taking orally? Would there be any euphoria? The reason I ask is because of an experience I had with Dilaudid a while back. Being relatively new to the scene, I insufflated 4 mg and watched in dismay as the dillie did absolutely nothing! I learned the hard way that Dilaudid is not something to be snorted or swallowed. It has one simple purpose.
Sorry to add more questions to this MSContin thread, but I'm wondering from all of you who have used this, what were the circumstances, methods of administration, doses, effects, etc. Thanks, and hopefully someone can also find out what the hell went wrong with the poor lad's dose.

I absolutely love MSContin.
They're not for everyone tho. I dislike oxycontin and fentanyl, so my tastes are different.
Back when me and my junkie friends had a tolerance, we would snort 200mg every 6 hours and be good to go for the rest of life.
Then we lost our hookup.

Man, I used to chew 100mg MSContin, and they would FUCK you up. Alot of people say MS is trash, but it will get the job done. I'd say for me 100mg chewed MS is the equivelent of 50mg snorted oxycodone.

That's quite a heavy statement. I can't understand how anyone can dislike morphine sulphate. I would do MScontins anytime, anywhere, any amount...

many people dont particularly like morphine, especially when there are things like oxy and heroin. morphine is just and i'm-fucked-up-and-drooling-on-myself kinda high. oxy is clearheaded and euphoric...

I've taken two 60mg MSContins whole. 120mgs is WAY more than enough to get you high. If you take it whole, you'll be high for well over 12 hours.
As for taking that dose by crushing the MSContins, 120mg is a pretty hefty dose unless you have quite a substantial tolerance.
I think most people that didn't have a tolerance would be fine taking 60mgs or more of morphine orally.

Probably because most people don't find methadone to be recreational in the first place.
Then 10mgs is a pretty weak dose which will probably do nothing more than, well, about nothing.
And why are people so insistant about snorting pharmacuetical pills as if you can't get high if you take it orally?

I'm going to have to disagree. While the highs of oxycodone and morphine are unique and are noticeably different, I still feel that they're comparable.

I don't know. I just wouldn't consider them equivellent drugs.

As a pain patient, I take OC's (4 80mg, 3 times a day) and 450mg of MSIR 4 times a day for breakthrough pain. I never feel any euphoria at all on morphine while in the past I have felt some with OC. I have been taking this dosage level for about 6 months and it is great for allowing me to work and help take care of the children. Before that a was a mess due to 2 spinal fusions and nerve inpingment. I have to say that morphine, while the gold standard for pain treatment (less euphoria?), seems to be what the Doc's use for long term use. I tried Methadone 200mg a day but I had to many side effects from it. All in all this combo works for me.
