Please help. Normally after a shot I get a small pimple sized bump at the site that goes away quick. But for some reason I got one that has not gone away and its been 2Weeks at least since my last shot. It is above the skin, and just looks like a little red pimple. It has not changed in size. I just have no clue what it is. I don't think its an abscess since its not under the skin. It is a bit red but not infected looking and hasn't gotten more red over time. Its just stayed the same. There is no pain at all. It just looks and feels like a pimple or zit. Please any help would be great. Thank you

It sounds like it could be a blood blister. I got something similar recently, I just put a warm cloth on it every few hours and it went away eventually...but mine didn't stick aruond for two weeks. Regardless, you should definitely see a doctor to make sure it's nothing serious.

I agree with Pagey, might be s blood blister , but it is impossible to diagnose over the internet. Go see a doctor ASAP

Abscesses suck, trust me...you will know if you have one. It will swell up, it will itch like a bitch, and it will start to hurt

Might me an allergic (histamine) reaction. Try taking some type of anti histamine. It isn't a bacterical infection because that is basically what an abscess is...

Could maybe be cotton fever or maybe it is just a pimple. Either way, get it checked out by a doctor. They are legally not allowed to say anything about your drug addictions or use or you can sue the fuck out of him or her...

^Yeah, it's impossible for us to really tell and a medical professional isn't allowed to 'rat you out' or anything. Better safe than sorry :)

i.just hoping someone may.have seen.this. Before. Its really harmless looking if it weren't in the crook of my arm like a.giant track mark I wouldn't care. I thought after enough time it go away but it just hasn't gotten smaller. My problem is that the dillies I used are prescribed by my dr. goes that work. It is really not much to look at and worry about, like i.said it just looks.as feels.like.a pimple. I almost always.get something similar looking just smaller with any shot but it always goes away after 20min. I did do two shots back to back pretty close together in that spot.

Go to a different doctor . Go to a doc in the box or an urgent care, they can't notify your doctor. Or lie and say you don't shoot it up

You will get some peace of mind and be able to sleep soundly. Or you can sit by and watch it get worse and get more worried

Yes seek medical attention if you're worried it might be something serious, no one here is going to be able to help you.

And also, not to be a dick, but please try to make your posts a little more legible... What's up with all the random periods all over the place.

def get medical evaluation. you do not want to risk what could be staph (More severly MRSA, which they can test for and at the size you describe would be very treatable). the sooner the better though.

Try a warm compress (I like to put uncooked rice in a sock and microwave it for a minute or so, you can also heat uup a wet washcloth and stick it in a ziploc) every hour or so for a day, or alternate between heat and cold. Also try an antihistamine and an NSAID and see if there's any improvement. You can also try applying a triple antibiotic ointment, or a crushed up asprin mixed into a paste with a bit of water. If none of this helps within 24-48hours, please seek medical attention. I normall wouldn't suggest waiting that long but since it's been two weeks I think another day or two will be okay. If it gets worse at any point please please go see a doctor.
