Hi Forum,
Greetz from Europe. Over the last year I have indulged in occasional (like 8 times in total over the last 24 months) use of stimulants (especially cocaine) but always in moderation (never more than 0.5 g at a time, always at least a month between consumptions, etc.). It always felt good/amazing and the typical hang-over lasted only for a day, max two, then I was always back to normal. The last time I did it, however, was very different. This was two months ago and I still feel severely ‘impacted’.
These last two months have been hell. I and two friends got a gram of cocaine from the street. In a fairly drunk state, I took probably about 0.4 to 0.5 of it (and my friends took the rest). The high seemed to be less strong / euphoric than usual, and also shorter, the come-down from each line came very quickly. 20 mins after the 3rd line at some point I felt like collapsed / super-tired / uncoordinated / confused / super-drunk so I decided to go home and sleep. I never had felt that way so shortly after cocaine consumption. Needless to say that there was probably not much cocaine in what we took. My friends reckon it might have largely been amps / speed, with a little bit of coke in the mix, plus other things. Who knows.
I slept fairly well despite waking up at some point with strong tachycardia, but managed to fall back to sleep again. The next day is when all started. I felt extremely drowsy, dizzy, unable to think clearly, difficulties to find words while speaking, vision problems (blurred/off vision or so) etc. The first week I could sleep fairly normal, but then in the second week after, a bout of insomnia started that I have never had in my life before.
And now, two months later those are the problems I am still dealing with, and they are very strong! And that’s making my daily life, specially work, impossible. I went to a shrink who put me on 50mg of Seroquel which helps with sleep but not much with all the other problems during the day (I think it makes me even drowsier, unable to focus). I also take a bit of Xanax occasionally which seems to help the most (the Xanax gets me from 20% functionality to perhaps 50% functionality, but not more). Oh, and my friends were, of course, back to normal within a week!! wtf
I should say that I have struggled with anxiety issues in the past that I have been able to effectively tackle though through the following stack that I continue taking
5htp, 200 mg, daily
SJW, 900 mg of standardized extract, every other day
A lot of high-quality, high-EPA, high DHA, fish oils
Every other day: zembrin (kanna), 25 mg
DHEA, 100 mg
This actually means that I have not been particularly anxious these last two months, actually pretty relaxed with the exception of being very preoccupied with these extreme symptoms I am having.
The day I took the cocaine I had taken the above supplements with the exception of the SJW. Could this be the reason for the awkward reactions?
Please give me any advice as I am feeling so dizzy, brain-fogged, visually impaired, that I am unable to even drive at the moment! Working has been impossible given the vision and concentration difficulties!!!
Many, many thanks in advance from a desperate one. Next time I go to the shrink he will prob suggest putting me on an SSRI which I want to avoid, if possible.
