What's up guys. Im 22, have had 4 failed surgeries, I have a Degenerative Knee Disease that I have to live with the rest of my life that effects my whole body. I have been prescribed 30mg OxyCodone, 60-90 a month since I was 14 & it is the only thing that lets me live a semi-normal-semi-pain-free life. Anyways, I decided to cope with the pain last week for 7 days & go Cold-Turkey & go through withdrawals so I can start getting relief from my medication to help with my pain, my tolerance was too high. I finished up withdrawals, got my script on Thursday, and did 90mg that night. Then I did 120mg on Friday night, I was fine on Saturday. No Withdrawals, just a little RLS. I had a dislocation on Sunday morning which caused me to have no choice but to take 120mg to get out of pain somewhat. I then took another 150mg on Monday, then 180mg today. Obviously my W/D won't be as bad as Day 1 after going Cold Turkey for 7 days after doing 180mg everyday for weeks on weeks, but obviously my legs will be throbbing & my stomach should be pretty fucked, but I know I won't be like Day 1/2 24/7 throwing up. My question is, should I taper myself off what so ever or should I just tough it out while I'm still not in so deep? I have some Tylenol 3's as well left over from an old surgery (30mg codeine, 350mg tylenol) and most of my script of my 30's left. If I feel like I'm about to start throwing my guts up, should I take 30mg, then 24 hrs later 15 mg, then 24 hrs later 7.5 mg? Any input is appreciated on how bad I should be expecting/plans for dosing, but please, no judging and things of that nature. please. Thank you! stay safe guys. Being as I know what REAL Withdrawals are after SERIOUS Cold Turkey; how bad should I expect these W/D's to get? I never go through just a mild W/D, I usually go all out until my scripts gone. Not anymore though, my pain is getting way worse as I get older & this is the only way I will be able to live a productive life, I need my pain medication when the pain is bad.
