i smoke my dope but fancied shooting it i used my vein in crook of arm the rush was intense and bliss but started small compared to what i smoked unfortunately a few days ago i missed a shot still go a buzz went to bed the next morn my arm was red and swollen by end of the day the pain was intense and i could hardly lift my arm had to go to A&E hospital told them exactly what i did they put me on a iv drip of anti biotics and im on shit loads of them orally been 4 days now is improving but still sore and painful so just be careful if you not experienced even needle exchanges are helpful and will show good techniques and try and have sumone there with you take care

Actually I didn't get a rush for about 6 months after I started banging dope....I was simply too worried about OD'ing to put enough in the spoon to get a decent rush.
(Saw 2 people drop off .1 on the dope i was getting at the time, scared me rushless, wasn't untill I got ahold of black tar and did .3 that I really got the rush and understood the whole thing)
Yes I realize Im an ass backwards bastard for getting a better rush and high off of tar...not like I prefer tar, I just know I won't die if I up my dose a little bit.

My first point of advice is to stick with sniffing and do not start IV'ing. I started IV'ing thinking I would be using it more efficiently and cutting down on costs. It just blew a hole in my pocketbook.
The way you hold the syringe is important. It should be held in a way so you can draw back the plunger and push it back in with minimal movement of the syringe. Keep in mind that the veins are deeper under the skin than they appear. The moment the needle pierces the skin, pull back on the plunger. You should see an air bubble form in the syringe; this is a vacuum. As you slowly slide the needle deeper, blood will shoot into the syringe as you register a vein. Also, keeping the syringe slightly pressed against your skin will help keep it steady.
The easiest veins for me are the ones in the nook of my elbow. The ones along my forearm on the side where my thumb is are easy for me, too. Also, I have a pretty easy time hitting the veins near my ankle. It lets me use both hands in order to keep the needle really steady.
