HELP: IV'd Heroin Problem
Hey all. Just about 30m ago I shot up some dope into a well known spot for me. I've shot here before as it usually registers really well for me.
About 5 seconds after I pushed the plunger all the way down, I felt this shooting heat rush through my arm. From the injection site all the way down to my finger tips. My heart started pounding because I immediately started freaking out, and the mental state I was in made my heart rush due to fear. I've never had this happen to me before.
Anyway, now I'm seeing some swelling, and some rash like bumps appearing on my arm. It doesn't hurt. My hand just feels a little tingly making a tightly closed fist. I feel fine besides that. My arm feels a little warm, but other than that and the little bit of tinglyness in my hand, I feel ok.
What is happening here? The swelling doesnt appear to be getting any worse. My arm feels kinda weird to the touch. I've read up that I most likely hit an artery, but the blood didn't seem brightly red, and it didn't rush into the barrel when I checked to see if I registered or not. This is a well known spot like I said, and I've shot here before...is it possible I could of hit an artery that ran next to this vein and didn't know it? I have a cold wet wash cloth on my arm right now, idk if that'll do me any good. I did shoot with an older syringe, but I always rinse them out after every use. I also make sure I clean my spoon with dial soap and water before each use and dry it very well. I like to stay as clean as possible. I did use q-tip cotton.
Any help would be great. The injection site doesn't hurt, but touching my arm feels a little stingy and like I said, my hand feels tingly when closing it but it's not extreme. Should I seek medical help you think? Like I said I feel fine right now. Lost whatever high I could get but oh well.
Edit: Update: The tingly feeling in my hand is starting to lessen. The swelling isn't increasing so I'm going to just keep an eye on my symptoms. If they get worse, I will take a trip over to the ER and own up to what I did.
