I'm not sure if i'm allowed to name 'brands' of a product so i'll omit that until a moderator gives me the yay or nay.

Anyway, I am well aware that just about every ingredient available in so called 'legal highs' is also available to the layman, but something recently has greatly piqued my intrest in them as i tried one of the ecstacy/psychedelic substitutes (red gelcaps sold under 2-3 diffrent names) and found them to be extremely effective and enjoyable. not impairing in the least, and did actually have a moderate body/mind buzz and would absolutely do them again.

So i made a quest to find out whats actually in them and came up with two diffrent ingredient lists, one from a very trustworthy retailer, another from one thats a bit more shakey but definitely sells the exact same product. People are gonna jump on me for this and say that they are only ephedra sold at an incredible markup, but anyone thats taken these themselves can attest that there is something 'else' in these accounting for the mild euphoria/buzz that you get off them.

hopefully if i can do this successfully i can recreate these effects in a mixture of my own, but i need to figure them out first.

so here are the two ingredient lists that i have compiled, the first being the more reputable one.

1st -

Ma Huang
Guarana
5-htp (Griffonia seed extract)
Bioperine
Indian Bromine
Cinnamon
Cola Nut
Niacin
Fo Ti.

i see basically stimulants and possibly the niacin to simulate a warm feeling like mdma, indian bromine which is a coloring/dye if im not mistaken, bioperine which is supposed to enhance the absorbtion of herbs? 5-htp im not familiar with as well as fo ti or why cinnamon would be in there.

2nd one -

Bioperine
guarna
5-htp
dextromethorphan hydrobromine
mua huang
Indian Bromine

i dont take this one as seriously as they cant even spell half the ingredients correctly, but now this intrests me as this one makes a little more sense as dxm in a low dose would account for quasi-MDMA effects, but are you even allowed to include it in something thats marketed as a 'dietary supplement' ?

i have tried to include enough info for people to figure out what brand im talking about, and if the mods allow it ill include them in another post, if anyone has any information/help on what makes these pills have such a pleasant effect or more info on ingredients t would be greatly appreciated

ma huang = ephedra alkaloids (basically, ephedrine like effects)
gaurana = caffeine
5-htp = serotonin precursor, usually won't do much more than make you sleepy
kola nut = very mild stimulant
dextromethorphan = DXM (a known recreational drug)

Can't help you on the others...the cinnamon sounds bogus...

Is it wise to mix DXM and 5-htp?

As for the ma huang and gaurana with cola nut, most likely you'll just get a bit more energetic and jittery.

DXM wont give you MDMA type effects, there is NO other drug which will give you proper MDMA feelings, well with the possible excpetion of FLEA.

eh im not looking for mdma effects....im just saying that it definitely has a 'diffrent' effect than from either dxm or any straight stimulant (ie: the ephedra bombs packaged as mdma alternatives)
