Help identifying unknown powder (4-ACO-DMT suspect)

A number of nights ago a buddy called me up and told me he found psilocybin. I told him to buy me 20 dollars worth and what I received in return was a small capsule filled with an off-white almost beige powder and mind you, a very small amout (maybe around 20 mg). He told me that what he gave was equivalent to an 8th of mushrooms (what's the exchange rate??) and I've read somebody comparing an 8th of mushrooms to a 20 mg hit of 4-ACO somewhere online before. I'm skeptical because I've seen pictures of 4-ACO-DMT and it looks a lot whiter than what I have. Could this be 4-ACO-DMT or possibly something else?

we can't tell you what you have, we know even less than you do about this unknown powder. Talk to your friend about it. Ask him where he got it, if he weighed out what he gave you, etc. Weigh it out yourself first, if you don't have a mg scale, get one. 4-AcO-DMT is known to degrade into an offwhite/brown powder. An 8th of shrooms doesn't really mean much, mushroom potency can vary. I will warn you that there is a pretty big difference between 20 mgs and 25 mgs, and a HUGE difference between 20 mgs and 30 mgs. So I wouldn't just take what your friend gave you and expect a pleasant trip. Also, I know prices aren't allowed but you can buy a pretty large amount of 4-aco-dmt for $20...

It's possible it's 4-AcO-DMT, it's certainly fit. It's also possible it's Psilocybin, or Psilocin, or 4-HO-MET, or 4-AcO-MET, or 4-HO-MiPT, or hell some random 2C-X. It could really be anything, there's no way for us to identify your random beige powder psychically through the internet.
