I have about two ounces of mushrooms and no scale. I want to take two grams. How should I go about finding this without a scale. Any ideas?

Probably the best way is to ask firends if they have scale.

Nah, here's what you do. You have 2 ounces. Divide them into 2 equal piles. Now each pile is 1 ounce. Take one pile and divide it again to 2 piles. Repeat again, and you have a quarter ounce. Now divide it into 3 piles and you should have approximately 2.33 grams in each pile.

I guess you could always make a scale with a pen or pencil, a ruler and a couple of index cards. use a dime as a counter weight (2.268 g).

^ I used to do that for both hash/weed and smack in emergencies. Think a 2p coin here weighs an eighth (may not be though - memory is... erm... ) and a standard ciggy is a £10 bag o' scag's worth. Not much help in this situation but I know that your method works in a pinch cos I've built such contraptions too 
Works better if you suspend the ruler on a bit of cotton or similar rather than balancing on a pencil. Would need to rig up suspended baskets to do that with mushies though and then you're into proper complicated constructions whilst wasted territory :D
I'd go with Dread's technique or just borrowing any scales from anywhere as the next best option though

This isn't gonna work cause he likely has caps and stems of all different sizes.
I recommend borrowing the scale of a friend or waiting unti you buy your own.
edit - :D lol I like Damien's idea about a counterweight but I think it would be hard to pull off

You could take fresh mushrooms and use a mortar'&pestle to grind them into a sort of putty. Adding a small amount of alcohol should help this. Then you dry that putty until it's rock hard and then grind it into a powder, this way you would get a very uniform and fine powder that you could pack into capsules very tightly.

It is. But it's also much fun trying and soooo satisfying when it finally doesn't all fall off if you're really lucky :D
If you munched a couple of the shroomies you could probably knock up a rough set of scales out of the rest of them if you really put your mind to it

i would just eye it out... and probably end up taking too much.. but if you have 2 ounces, its all good, you can have a big first dose!

I had the fortune of being given some free mushrooms this last week. There was 5g so we split it in 2 even piles.
I have a scale but didn't have access to it at the moment.It was a great trip, I got to smoke some bomb hash and watch my friends spin some fire.
