Help! Did I take too much Methadone too fast?

Hey everyone, I had a quick question about methadone. I took a 10mg last night around 10 and another 10mg this morning around 7. I have
taken it before recreationally (usually about 10 mg at a time) but now it has been given to me for pain. I felt a little strange today and so I did some research and have seen all of these horror stories of people OD'ing and dying in their sleep and I have completely freaked myself out. Am I going to be ok or should I seek some medical attention? Should I stay awake as long as possible? Thanks for the help!

If that's all you've taken you should be fine. Just do not mix it with any other opiates, benzos, or alcohol until you feel comfortable again. 24 - 36 hrs usually.

Sounds like you should be straight but by all means if you start having trouble breathing and feeling too fucked up get to a hospitol.

I had a few drinks last night, but nothing crazy. Heart rate and breathing are normal. I just started to feel a little nauseous and jittery at work today and did a little research resulting in having the sh*t scared out of me. Thank you guys for the quick response!

No problem. Yeah, the methadone discussions on here will drive any opiate naive person into a panic attack. Lol, I've done it once or twice myself...

it easy to OD on methadone if you have been taking it for consecutive days. 'done has such long half-life that you will have almost the same amount of methadone in your body 24 hours after taking it.

if you just took it once and more the next day you should be good. just dont drink on 'done again, dont drive, and dont keep taking more methadone. wait a couple days, weeks, or months and then take it
