Yes it is, however, you can learn about opiates right here on Bluelight. :) You're in the right place.

Make sure to read the rules before posting much, it'll help avoid a lot of headaches. :)
 
Of course it is acceptable! Try Basic Drug Discussion or Other Drugs, they have a lot of info (links in Cap'n H's and NT's signatures).
