how're you doing? my name is patrick and i'm posting from randolph, ma. i'm a huge music fanatic. i've been playing bass guitar for over a decade now and have been in and out of bands for about the same length of time. my main and primary focus is my current old school death metal band, Forced Asphyxiation. Check us out on youtube if you feel so inclined. we just recorded an EP and are just waiting for it to be mastered.

i come here to search for like minded individuals, i've been dabbling with drugs since i was ten years old (I'm 24, going to be 25 on 11/100) and some other crazy assholes who enjoy shooting the shit about anything and nothing. i've been lurking on here for some time and think we'll all get along great.

^^^I play bass guitar as well..........what kind of bass do you play for metal? I play on a Fender Jazz, but I play in prog-rock throwback groups(King crimson/Genesis/Yes covers) on and off when I have time. Been playing for about 14 years so you and I could probably jam out :) Welcome to bluelight!
 
I use a Spector NS2000/4 string neck thru bass. love it. my style is heavily influenced by Atheist and Watchtower, which fits well with my band's style, which is more along the lines of Obituary, Carcass, old Napalm Death, Deicide, and Junglerot. There's a lot going on with the bass guitar and "hidden" basslines which keeps the listeners interested, and make bass players go "wow, that was fucking cool".
