Hello everybody! I've been a member for nearly a year and an unregistered lurker for even longer but now I've finally decided to become more active.
I've lived here in Baltimore, MD USA for over 20 years (home of The Wire!) and I registered at Bluelight to learn more about research chemicals. Although I've experienced very few, I now consider myself pretty up to speed on the majority of the RCs on the market and unintentionally learned lots of sciency things in the process such as the ins and outs of serotonin & dopamine, bio-availability, and other big words to explain little things.
The one thing I like about Bluelight that I consider unique to the rest of the drug-related forums is that the discussion remains pretty much unsensationalized. Erowid trip reports are often seemingly exaggerated and told like a story resembling nothing of what really happens during drug use and other forums which I won't name seem more like kids just looking to get 'fucked up' at the expense of doing any harm reduction whatsoever. If some of the threads here were mandatory reading for the world, I have a feeling that there would be much fewer bans on perfectly safe substances.

I agree, I like Bluelight because we're more focused realistically. Although I do really enjoy reading trip reports in general, even if they are slightly exaggerated 
It got me really excited to try psychedelics, and I was still very happy with the experience, even though I didn't get a "mind blowing" trip.
