Hello fellow bluelighters!

I'm in my mid-20's and have been shamelessly lurking in the background, stealing peoples advice and reading their experiences for half a year now! It only just dawned on me that I should probably register and start sharing my own stories.

So a very belated hello! (And probably a Thankyou-for-all-the-advice also)

I work part time and study full time, I play a lot of odd sports and have an obsession with inhaling popcorn while watching action movies.

I first discovered this site when researching if anyone else turns into a costume-loving, photo-sharing, twister-playing gargoyle-monkey like I do, on MDMA.

Apparently yes! They do! /highfive

MDMA is definitely my drug of choice, for those beautiful hours it gives me of being care-free, blissful, confident and empowering.

Cocaine is enjoyable, I've never appreciated weed, Valium is a staple in my aircraft travel bag, and I am quite the virgin when it comes to most other substances.

/end intro

Hugs

Xo

Thanks for the welcomes!

@shadow

I'm glad to hear there are peeps on my side of the world! Forums are usually dead when we are active at night ><

Welcome to bluelight Claudia! :)

You should find there are quite a few Aussies on this website, I am one myself. We actually have a couple Australian forums, you can find the link to one of them in my sig.

If you have any questions about the site, feel free to shoot me a PM and I will do my best to clear them up for you.

If you don't mind my asking, what are you studying?

Hullo fello Aussie!

I noticed the Aussie forums but no topics have tickled my fancy as yet :)

I think I need [insert random number] of posts before I gain the ability to PM.

For now, I am slowly writing up my last Molly experience I went though for the Trip Reports section. I am a bit odd and make dot points on post-it notes/my phone, throughout my nights, so I can save the hilarious quotes, silly games and readjust next times dosages accordingly. Figured I would share my extremely-detailed turn of events, as I really have no better use of it.)

I am doing a double degree in HR and Law ><

Generally you need to attain bluelighter status before you can send PM's, which happens when you hit 50 posts. However, I am under the impression that you can send PM's to staff members regardless of your post count.

Writing down notes while you are high is an interesting habit, I am sure that it will make for a highly detailed trip report. It isn't a bad idea for helping you to determine an optimum dose for yourself either.

When you say HR I assume you mean human resources, but because you are also studying law I wonder if you mean human rights? Either way, you ought to be pretty damn employable after you graduate. :)

I am completing a Bachelor of Arts at the moment, and human rights is one of the subjects that I study.

Ohhhh I see. Thanks for the heads up regarding the PMs ^.^ the forums are pretty self explanatory but if I find myself confused, I know who to get to fix everything =D

I love researching, paper math, experimenting and theorising. You should see my whiteboard I use when prepping ><. I oddly find it interesting to reflect on past experiences, compare them to each other, and theorise reasons for any differences between them all. It's also helps me calculate that forever-changing Goldilocks zone when it comes to my substance, (and bonus points for keeping my very "YOLO" housemate safe from his more carefree attitude.)

Bingo on the Human Resources front! A year to go on both, then I can yell at my boss for a promotion and pay rise.

I enjoy the Law subjects most, however am currently on "Family Law", and keep getting attached to these fake assignment-avatars that I keep having to divorce and divide assets/kids/china collections. I preferred the previous subject which was essentially "here is the constitution. Try and retain it all, GLHF".

What is your major? Where will you go from there?

It is cool that you like to immerse yourself in the experience so much. The idea of someone having a drug experience whiteboard conjures up quite an amusing mental image. :)

I can imagine that law is rather challenging. I did a Diploma in Marketing a number of years ago and I found the law component of that course to be very dry, although to be fair it was business law. I am sure there are much more interesting subjects in a Bachelor of Law.

I assume once you graduate you are qualified to be a lawyer?

I am likely to major in philosophy, but may double major in philosophy and human rights or psychology. I am considering a number of career options right now, but the top two are completing the relevant post-graduate degree to become either a social worker or a secondary school teacher.

There is a slight chance we go to the same University as I am also based in Melbourne.

Yeah it's a pretty badass whiteboard. One side is a normal, gigantic canvas print from Kmart, the other side is fitted with a sheet of thin glass for paper math and notes.

At this stage I would be content with Paralegal work. I figure it will be a perfect first-step into legal waters, whilst giving me future opportunities to swim deeper at a later stage.

I would always chose teaching over social work. Psychology would be amazing to study, but it would be so difficult for me to work in a field that requires finding links between mental thoughts and pathways, to textbook data. It's all a bunch of grey area that I would always be too terrified to diagnose.

If your uni starts with an R then yup! We are college buddies. /highfive

Sounds like you have a good plan, getting some work experience in the field makes a lot of sense, as going straight from graduation to working as a lawyer would be pretty full on!

Social work appeals to me because I have a strong sense of social justice, also I could work in the field of addiction recovery which would be ideal for me. I can sometimes get frustrated easily, and I think if I became a teacher I would cop some pretty bad karma due to all the shit I gave teachers in school. I am still considering it though.

Psychology is a really interesting field but it is so competitive to get in to. I don't tend to do as well at psychology as some other subjects, so I figure I am better off majoring in them to increase my odds of getting in to a good post-graduate program.

We go to different Universities. The one I go to starts with an M.

Ohhh I know the one. Heard great things about them in regards to getting into undergraduate programs. You chose well!

I would not do well in addiction recovery. When chatting to my housemate about drug respect, I constantly need to stop myself as I sound like my mother. As a child I generally tried to rebell against her rules so I think I would probably just make things worse with my lectures and bla bla bla science bla bla health. I'm feeling there's a personal passion in that area from you, and you should definitely persue it! Your Uni can hook you up with work experience to get a glimpse into that career, I believe?

My last Molly experience is turning into a short-novel. I'm thinking its a little large for a Trip post now. How to blog?

Work experience is part of any AASW accredited social work degree, but I don't think you get to pick where they organise placement, so it isn't guaranteed to be in addiction recovery. That is okay though, I am interested in a lot of different social work roles, addiction recovery is just my main interest.

Some people post very long trip reports, I am sure that you could post it in there if you wanted.

I managed to get in to blogs by opening my profile, you can find the relevant link if you scroll to the top of the page, it is at the very top towards the right hand side. From here, there are a number of prompts to the left of the screen, "View Blog Entries" is one of them. If you click in to that then there is a "new post" option towards the right hand side of the screen. Click that and then write your blog. :)

I am sure there are easier ways to go about it. I had never done it before and that was the way that immediately sprung to mind.
