hello and I have to complain

This is my problem. I used to have an account named Roxaneman but because this forum doesn't feature any kind of password recovery I had to make another account. Honestly I think that is rediculous and I see no reason for it. Who designed this website so poorly? Also what the hell is with the 'random question' field in the registration? I was asked who first broke the four minute mile record. I googled it and got the wrong answer. Is this REALLY necessary? Again, who the HELL designed the registration system. I had to get it wrong and then answer a question of what the prime active chemical in opium is. Isn't the randomized picture part enough to prove I'm not a computer? It just seems utterly pointless.

Also when I try to post in the other drug forum it keeps telling me I have to choose a forum category of something, how do I do that? It has forced to post in other sections which I know are wrong for what I'm posting.

I know some of the people here are really knowledgeable but seriosly the thing aforementioned are really annoying and I don't understand why someone would set things up this way. I hope I don't piss of mods by writing this but honestly I'm trying to bring problems to the table that I think - and hope - other people probably agree with. I'm not trying to bash this board or anything but these problems have really pissed me off. The thing about choosing a category or whatever is from all the times I visited this site on my iphone. I'm on an ipad now and I'm going to try again but I'm not that hopeful.

Please mods, don't take this as me going after you and the webmaster(s), I'm genuinely just trying to point out some issues that might have also been a problem for other people. Like I said, a lot of the people here can be helpful and there's a lot of good resources here.

EDIT------------- I've been able to choose the category when posting on the other drugs section using my ipad, but it DOES NOT appear when I'm using my iphone.

Hi welcome (back) to the forum. I've never had a problem with passwords, as bluelight logs me in automatically; in future just ask Chrome to remember your passwords, if that's your browser of choice. I admit, those random questions seem like questionable design-what's wrong with a simple "assemble the simple puzzle" type catchpas alone? They're fail-proof. Seems to me, you've got you're old profile up and running-you just need to get a new password. I'm not very tech-literate, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help, but if you post your problem in the Support forum, I'm positive they'll get your old avatar up and running; only admins and senior mods post there, and they're great at troubleshooting. I'm sure they'll fix your problem.

I agree with you regarding the random question thing - it is silly. And I don't agree that a fit the puzzle would work as people like me who has sight problem struggle with them.
