Welcome to bL. Tell us a bit more about your interests and whatnot, someone will be more than happy to point you to some forums you might enjoy. Also, if you have any questions about how the site functions, feel free to ask.

I am from the US. But I lived in London, England for 10 yrs. My drug of choive is Opiates. Oxy's, Morphine...etc. What about yourself? Where do you live and what your drug of choice? I have just been put on Suboxone last sat. I was on 180 Oxy 30's, 120 methadone 10mg, and 90 1mg xanax for the past 9-10 yrs but my Doctor closed his practice so I just went on Suboxone last saturday.

Hi Bronson, thanks for the welcome. I have a few questions that maybe you can help me with. How do you get adopted? If you are adopted is that kinda like a sponsor? Do I post My hobbies, interest in my profile?

Well there are a couple of ways you can go about it. First is to post that you wish to be adopted in the The NMI Adoption Program. And yes, it's more or less like a sponsor, someone to help teach you the ins and outs of the site as well as the rules, answer questions you may have, and just be there to support you.

Once you post in the thread, you'll want to look for other bluelighters / members who have posts up saying they are currently looking to adopt. Go ahead and PM someone you think would fit well with you, and they will reply back when they can, and you can get started from there.

I also am currently accepting, so if you think that would work out, you're more than welcome to click the PM me link in my signature and let me know.

I look forward to seeing you around the forums. :)

Hi Semaj, I am from the US, but please don't hold it against me.lol I used to live in London,England for about 8 years. My drug of choice is Opiates. I was on oxycodone 30mg, Methadone 10mg and Xanax for around 10 yrs. I had a severe back injury and had to have surgery in 2004. I have used almost every drug out there over the years, so I have a bit of knowledge about most drugs. Thanks for the welcome post. Sparrow

Hello there Sparrow. Glad to see you here on Bluelight. Let us know if we can direct you in any way here. It is also fun to lose yourself in the forums. :)

Heya Sparow. I chose that because I am too lazy to fully type anyone's name and sparrow seemed so much sweeter than an angry mean hawk. Anyway I wont hold it against you that you used to live in the US considering I still do and I love it. :p I share your love of opiates so I am sure I will be seeing you around in ODD. Welcome to BL!

Hey Kitty, Thank you for the post. Just wanted to let you know I used to live in London, England for 8 yrs, but I am back stateside now. I've been back since about 2001. Yes, I do love Opiates but I just lost my Doctor of 10 years because he closed his practice. Unfortunately I had to find a Suboxone clinic to keep me from going through withdrawals.(They Suck)
I am now on Suboxone 8mg films and am trying to adjust. I like to run them but they just don't have the kick that Oxy's have. Any advice you could share would be greatly appreciated. Sparrow

Hello Stellablue, Thank you for the welcome post. I see you are in SC. I am from Summerville,SC. That's my hometown. It's nice to see a fellow South Carolinian. What part of SC are you from, if you don't mind me asking. I hope that isn't to personal, just wondering. Well I hope to see you in the forums. Sparrow

Aww sparrow, I am sorry to hear you are having a tough time. I wish I had some advice to help but to be honest I am a "new" opiate user and have not yet (ugh..or hopefully ever) found myself in the position of being unable to get the meds I need and having to go through withdrawal. Although I hate the idea that I might find myself addicted to these things forever. I guess I am in a weird transition state where part of me really loves my pharms and the other part of me knows its not the best way to live my life and I should probably take another path. But until I am 100% ready to walk way from them, I know I wont. There are a bunch of people here though who have been through what you are going through and can offer you advice and support. Why don't you swing on by the The Dark Side and post about it there? Its a great place to share your experiences, get lots of e-love and some solid advice about your situation. Looking forward to getting to know you better. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about anything or just want to vent. :)
