Hello all - I'm Cash Crown $$ from Ozone City. I've been a regular follower of Bluelight for info, advice and just plain 'need to know' stuff. I'll make this short - I have a rare foot-hand 'disease' (yes, it's disease, but won't kill me) and I have no option but to use PMeds because surgery will not work. I have LD and DC and I won't go into it, but you can type that and find what's up with me.
I have no options with my ailment, but being older, not any issues with getting meds I need and walking the line - being safe and still hanging in there. For me? Stopping is not an option (taking meds) and I do so for quality of life and I went so long with no help (no Dr. knew what I had), I have gone from chronic pain untreated (which will mess up your brain) and now getting the medicine I need to keep walking, moving, living. Have had several hand surgeries, but this junk is on my feet (soles) and NO proven surgery has ever been confirmed - ever. Dangerous, because, this stuff comes BACK with a vengeance. So, it did on my hands, and I can't lose a foot with experimentation. I HAVE had the most up-to-date treatment (radiation therapy) which helped, but did NOT remove the nodules on my tendons. Because of all this, I had hell finding a Dr. who would give me any pain meds for my feet - I was depressed, and I have taken most all opiates/opioids during the last 10 years, as well as Xanax, Valium, Ambien and was recently diagnosed with ADHD (I'm not so sure about this being a real disease, but he was convinced I had it, as well as some other people). Anyway, I take Adderall, too.
So, a result of the meds lowered my Testosterone and I'm on HRT with GP, but soon to see an Endo about how to really treat this. So, surprisingly, I'm in good shape otherwise, but have a lot of experience with meds, etc. Never been arrested, no issues, married 33 years, just a regular guy. I can say it has been a learning experience and I've gone thru the WDs (no fun) and have a good relationship with my Drs. And, pharmacist. I only switch when insurance changes.
I'm here to mostly watch, get info, and maybe steer someone who might need a thoughtful opinion. There is a wealth of knowledge here, so my input is from experiences and what I've learned. Former rock drummer, seen and done a lot!
I don't question anyone, and I don't judge anyone - we all have our own battles - and I will ask for info, as well as give out what I know - if someone asks. I do know this - everything I take is prescribed ONLY. It hasn't always been that way, but it is now. I hate having to jump thru hoops for meds, but I don't work now - good and bad -and I take a few meds everyday. There are ways to do things differently, but that is, IMHO, up to the individual to decide. It's great being young, and I've had a great time, but there are a few advantages to getting older, too. And, I do wonder about how some meds will affect me (and others) long-term, but just like BP medicine, you take it for a reason, and no different for other stuff - if you follow the road and don't go off in a ditch.
I currently take Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Gabapentin (which I'm trying to NOT take, it's a weird drug - hard as HELL to stop completely), Hydroxyzine, Adderall, Xanax, Ambien and Androgel (that will change soon). I think I take too many, but what is the alternative? Feet hurt all the time if I don't take something + I have anxiety. I used to take Advil by the handfuls - only to mess up my stomach and I stay FAR AWAY from Tylenol. I used to drink, but not much anymore. Smoked MJ for years, but now I can't.8( (urine testing).
So, if you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'm always happy to help, if possible. I'm glad to be here. Hope I'm in the right place on Forum for Newbie Intro. Everyone, have fun, stay cool and safe - there are a more fun days, so don't go and shorten them by miscalculation. Always interested in how stuff works. I'm without my Oxycontin tonight (the Pharm does NOT keep it in until script is handed over) - ever) but, oxycodone should hold me over until tomorrow evening. I have great Drs and I couldn't make it without them and my cool Pharmacist and his staff. This is one of the 'good parts' about getting near 60 - no one CARES what you do, but if 21? I can see the issues you guys deal with. Everyone 20-30 is an ADDICT, right? No, they are not - but that's how it's viewed and believe me - these Dr's are being monitored - so, that's why i give 'em NO reason to ever worry about me. If you ask me, it is a bit unfair -but, everyone knows how it is. Even I get weird looks from some people when I p/u my meds. Anyway, I look forward to all the news and info and being here in person.
Thanks,
Cash Crown
