Heating before injecting??

I was wondering what exactly is the point of heating liquid before injecting? I am going to bang OC's (I know I know, your not supposed to) and was wondering if I should heat it before drawing it up? When I've heated it before it seems to separate the pill from the water/saline and make it harder to draw up. Is it supposed to sterilize it or something??

Yeah, It does help kill any bacteria, I have no idea what OC's are but if you're not supposed to shoot them then at least make sure you filter it well.

my buddy shoots OC's all the time...i told him a few thousand times it is not a good thing, but he HAS to shoot everything he possibly can..must be a mental thing..
he breaks the tab up(coating off of course)puts crushed powder in spoon, then adds water, then puts a lighter underneath it to help kill BACTERIA, and to i guess further reduce the particles, and he then draws it up and shoots it...
i have tried shooting/banging OC's and i must say it is AWESOME!!it is damn near twice as good as drinking it up or RAILING it..the RUSH ya get from it is great...i wouldn't make a habit out of it though...
BIG PIMP- have u ever just RAILED an OC or crushed it up and DRANK it??why go to shooting it right off the bat???

No, heating your dope is NOT to sterilize it, but to simply break down the particles so it can all be loaded into a syringe - well, with OxyContin, you want the OPOSITE - ICE COLD, with NOTHING going above ICE COLD... so you're going to bang OxyContin by cooking it? My advice - don't, but if you are going to... well, please don't let anyone know what you're doing, the drug doesn't need to get a bad rap because of idiots that inject it!

Phreex: So If I do bang it I want the water cold? I always thought banging something cold would make you cold and give you the shakes so do it with room temp water. Just wanted to make sure I read that right.

even though i'm a pussy when it comes to needles...i'll fill you in...
if i understand correctly...opiates are soluble in water...they're soluble at a lower temperature than most solids...so the idea of using cold water is that the oxy will dissolve into the water...leaving behind the heavier solids...the pill binders and fillers...which of course you don't want in your veins...

Injecting filler has shown to cause heart diseases, you should a/b it or something, if your willing to a/b it i'll look for filler information to be sure it can be done.
