The facts:

- have used coke for around 3 years
- never any issues until around 3 months ago when started a bender with two lines and had serious palpitations and chest pains for around 20 minutes then stopped (was able to carry on an hour or so later with no issues but a more gradual start)
- now every time first line is taken heart goes crazy
- not seen a doctor
- only an occasional user- otherwise extremely fit and healthy with v low blood pressure and resting HR 50bpm

the questions

- is this normal and I'm just panicking/making an issue out of nothing?
- is there anything I can do for harm reduction pre-session? Hydrating lots/aspirin/other?
- has/does anyone else get this?

Thanks so much in advance, I do appreciate it.

I think its pretty normal imo...my heart always goes apeshit when i first do coke...however im not a doctor..is it painfull??

Well, when that happened to me and I was using cocaine and the pain started gradually and went down my left side, and when I went to the hospital I had had an hear tattack. I advise you to seek medical attention to make sure your heart is ok. It's not like it is an arm or leg where it is easily replaced, because once it ticks out, it's out.

This is a sign you need to take a long break from cocaine. It is after all toxic to heart tissue and can also be cut with all sorts of other nasties.

If it happens every time you do cocaine then your body probably just can't tolerate iit any more. Continuing to do cocaine puts you at risk for heart attacks/strokes/other bad events.
