Cocaine heart pain

Others covered it pretty well, but another thing to take into account is anxiety. This has physical symptoms as well as mental, and many times a panic attack has made me truly believe I was having a heart attack. The increased heart rate, palpitations, and muscle pains can mirror a heart attack.

If you are experiencing these pains while doing coke, and especially after a small amount like a few lines, cocaine simply may not be for you. . Alternatively, you could take a low dose of a longer acting benzodiazepine during your cocaine session. This will help keep your anxiety in check, lower your heart rate, and loosen your muscles. Klonopin or valium is a great choice for this purpose.

dude where the hell did you get this information?
When I first used coke two decades ago Viagra was expensive and hard to get in South America. My friend in Columbia always pestered me for me to bring him as a present from Europe .... Viagra. The staunch belief that Viagra (= or generic Sildenafil) protects you from bad heart problems is very much alive among the amigos in Columbia and Peru. I didn't counter-check the belief at the time because I'd read Viagra tended to lower your blood pressure and that seemed to me sufficient to warrant its use while doing a stim that raised blood pressure.

Maybe the issue is not one of "Viagra bad or good", but rather a trade-off between lower blood pressure and higher heart rate, the latter triggered by the former when the mechanism is (like it it in Viagra's case) vasodilation.

Blood pressure and heartbeat are two different things that shouldn't be confused. THC is an example of a substance that lowers blood pressure but speeds up heartbeat. Heartbeat can be measured without any devices and to measure your blood pressure you need a blood pressure meter (well, it's a less medical name, it's actually a sphygmomanometer). There are electronic ones that you put on your wrist and they measure both your blood pressure and your pulse but they may be inaccurate (you always have to keep in mind that the result is more or less right). It's best to use a stethoscope and manometer.

I have noticed this heart pain myself the last handful of times i've done stimulants. Last weekend I rolled on MDMA for a few hours, and by the end I was experiencing some moderate heart pain. It was more uncomfortable than scary. But before that I got it with coke, and even now if I drink a few cups of coffee I can feel it.

I'm relatively experienced with stimulants. Last year I worked two jobs with stretches of 30+ days without a day off. Needless to say I came to use small amounts of crystal meth on occasion to get through. In addition to that I can say that i've been on a handful of recreational crystal benders, going through a half a gram in a two-days time. Never had any heart discomfort or pain before, I wonder why it is starting now.

I will say that at age 15 I experienced some heart pain and went in for EKG/echo and the doc told me I had a heart murmur (mitral valve prolapse) that was self-correcting. In fact, he told me that up to 15% of the population has this condition, where one of the heart valves doesn't close properly. It is a congenital condition. I will be going in for another checkup here in the next few months...I'd like to know if it's gotten worse/better.
