Heart Disease from Marijuana?

Everytime I smoke, I get paranoid, like crazy bad. I am/have always been paranoid all my life, of even the slightest things. I have tried to go to some pretty big drug parties in the past, and usually will sit quietly in my high mind, waiting for time to pass. Paranoia always kicks in when I start to think of consequences, and it has been getting much worse, beyond the parents, when I focus in on my aching heart. If you're wondering why I smoke, I will occasionally bypass all this bullshit and have laugh attacks from stuff on 4chan or Adult Swim. It is also nice to fall asleep all cozy.
Like, I'll get super high on a fine sativa, and my heart will just start to hurt out of nowhere. This makes me very tense, and I'll try to relax and usually it will go away, but I'll get up and not feel sluggish at all. Most people get tired and droopy eyes from Marijuana use, but I feel like I can take on the world when I am high. It makes my body ready to tackle a physical situation, in the same manner stress would, say, before a presentation. When I'm by myself, I'll practice my TaeKwonDo stuff, skateboard, and all that fun stuff, which usually makes my heart beat faster, but in a less aching way.
I looked up some possibilities resulting from heart pains. The closest thing to my symptoms would be Stable Angina.
It should also be noted that I almost always smoke under the harshest conditions: Opposite hours (meaning hours I am usually asleep), Body tempurature lowering rediculous freezing weather (Fucked up my lips, and I am usually relaxed in this weather, dropping my body tempurature).
It's also possible that because of the harsh conditions, I have some sort of viral infestion, my stomach and intestines are just uncomfortable, or something (I can hear my intestines passing water/gas at night when high). But, my HEART aches, my heart. I wish it was my stomach, but I can feel directly where the irregular heartbeat is, it aches, like someone is grabbing it and squeezing it or something.
If I die, then so be it. I will not be going to any doctors, but any personal remedies will be noted. I guess I'm asking for second opinions, methods of self-diagnostics, and the like. I'm doubting I've had a heart attack, I don't recall any body numbness or anything, the symptoms really point to Angina. But Angina says any intense physical stress or emotion will ache the heart. I go under the intense paranoia when high, and this is the cause, but, what the hell do I know I'm not a doctor.
Thanks in advance.

If you're mad at the title because you want to defend Marijuanas good name, then I'll put it this way. Intense paranoia, brought on by abusing marijuana, may have stressed my ticker enough to do some serious damage.

actually screw the whole angina thing. after reading more about it, it says it's from a decreased blood flow to parts of the heart and is predictible, because a person knows when his hearts beating faster. Well, I just did 15 pushups, and the slight heart pain actually feels like it went away a bit. wtf

it's almost like, when I get high, i focus all my mental power on my heart, all the chi flows right through it and aches it.

It's impossible for any of us to know for certain what is causing your symptoms. It sounds to me like it could be more anxiety related but getting tests done is the safest bet even if it just provides you some peace of mind. I've had all sorts of chest pains/pressure and heart palpitations on and off for years but the EKG didn't detect any problem. The cardiologist told me he thought it was the muscles around my heart contracting due to anxiety.

I also noticed that my pain would decrease with physical activity, which I was told would most likely not occur if there was something to worry about going on.

So I would recommend getting it checked to make sure there is nothing serious, but especially if you also experience paranoia from smoking it seems like it could possibly be caused by anxiety rather than anything serious. But this is just my opinion based on the information you shared, it's not possible for any of us to provide you with a definite answer.

My advice would be to go to the doctor and get that checked out. Why are you so against doing this? It's the best course of action because you will find out either 1) It's nothing but paranoia or 2) There's something wrong with your heart/ pulmonary system and can likely be corrected. Like you, I've been convinced that there's something wrong with my heart because of palpitations but all my tests (EKG, Echocardiogram) came back normal. I have a real problem with anxiety/depression and that likely contributes to my "heart problems".

I no longer smoke pot because of the anxiety it induces in me. I used to love pot and smoked every day. Like you, it really made me productive and actually added to my life. But the negatives clearly outweighed the positives for me and I just had to let it go.

Why don't you give pot a break for a while?

This could just be an anxiety attack.

I have known of 2 people who had similar symptoms after smoking, both thought they were gonna have a heart attack. I know one of them called an ambulance once and the guy told him he was probably just having a panic/anxiety attack. So, they took him to the hospital, did some tests, and the Doctor said the same thing-anxiety attack.

I would also suggest going to the dr, if you are worried about telling them because of the drug use aspect I would seriously just omit that part.

Also, trying to diagnose yourself is a really unwise idea. It seems to be in peoples nature to 'fear the worst' and thats understandable, but you are still in school and therefore probably young and having heart disease is unlikely. It is much more likely to be anxiety related than something more sinister, but a dr can do lots of tests to try and figure this out and treat you as necessary.

Peace of mind is just a drs visit away :).

Imo, you are having anxiety attacks & should stop smoking weed for several moths to see if it goes away. When I use to smoke weed, I loved sativa, it was the best high for me but never gave me anxiety. Indica gave me anxiety & headaches.

Only thing I can tell you is to take a break from weed & see how it goes since you dont wanna go to the doctor to get checked out. If I got pain to my heart from smoking weed, I would stop immediately, thats just me.

I used to go through the same thing when I smoke weed. My heart starts to beat fast and I get really paranoid about it and then I get aches in my chest area even after I’m high that get me really worried. Sometimes when it happens I think about weird stuff like how Jack Herer died of a heart attack and then I think oh fuck the same thing’s gonna happen to me now! I know its crazy cause he was like 70 when he died and Im just in my 20s, but its hard somtimes to control thoughts like that when you‘re high.

It’s proably just paranoia and worrying that’s causing it. The thing is, when I’m high on mdma my heart is beating way faster, but I can smoke tons of weed and not get that same paranoid worried feeling cause my mind is in such a euphoric state.

I stopped smoking for a week, and then smoked in a more mentally stable location (IE away from parents, relaxing music). My heart rate went from a steady 90, back to normal (60 bpm). Feeling much better, and I'm going to keep it that way.

I've found that the paranoia starts when the body becomes pumped off of anxiety, which starts when you start to contemplate a consequence, such as parents coming in and smelling the weed, neighbours seeing me act funny and calling my parents, etc. An indicator of whether I'm under stress or not, is when I stand up, how easy it is to stand up. Is this accurate? I'm thinking this, because, everytime it's easy to stand up, is when my hearts going fast, I'm scared, and my chest has that fire pain. Under better conditions, my body feels sluggish, hearts good, and no pains.
