I'd like to know what the hell happened and I'm hoping someone out there can help me gain some insight:

I don't usually use heroin but my birthday is around the corner, and heroin has been on the mind for a good month now. I ended up going out and buying a gram of BTH a few days ago.

This morning I woke up early and prepped a shot. The dose wasn't anything higher than what I had used the day prior (I don't have an exceptional opioid tolerance). I registered the vein and injected everything fine then laid down. About an hour after injecting, I'm listening to some ambient music when my heart begins to race. I got some water but while I was drinking it I felt very nauseated.

I usually can control myself when I feel like I'm about to vomit but sometimes, especially with drugs, it'll just happen. So I braced myself and ran to the restroom so I could throw up. After this I drank a lot of water and then went downstairs to get some food. I noticed that my heart was alternating between racing very fast (assumed: SVT) and skipping beats (assumed: PVC). For a while I felt as if I was going to faint so I stood on my feet for about an hour waiting for the heart stuff to calm down.

I've never had heart issues before with opioids or opiates and this was the first time that any sedative type drug has given me a racing heart. Is this a common happening for heroin? Did I not filter my solution enough?

I'm thinking it was just throwing up combined with not eating anything (having slept for 10hr) and then the effects of the H.

Can be hard to tell, if it happens again, see if you can get someone else to keep an eye on your pulse - heart rate can be affected a lot by just getting really prang, which will also impair your ability somewhat to measure it properly. I've had times when I thought my heart was skipping but it turned out it was just going quickly and I was too scatty to keep an eye on it consistently.
