Hey guys. About 2 months ago I had posted about feeling anxiety symptoms after two consecutive nights of "Molly." These were the only two instances I've ever tried any drug like this. Unfortunately, my case isn't being helped considering I don't even know how much I dosed or what was actually in the capsules.

Anyways, I feel like I really got the short end of the stick after this tiny little binge which happened 3 months ago. Been feeling terrible symptoms of DP DR, anxiety, depression, etc..

But basically, I made this thread because what has been concerning me the most is the constant, irritating, and extremely distracting head pressure. What culminated as tingling on the sides of my head about 2 months ago is now bad constant head pressure which has really been alarming and distracting. I know other users had or are having the same thing. I just want to know if anyone who had it got over it and how long it took.

Also I have a neurologist appointment to ease my mind on what could be possible brain issues related to the pressure. I was thinking maybe some Advil could help in the meantime? I haven't tried it but I'm considering it to see if it'll ease the sensation.

Any advice is welcome

Hey, read some of my older posts. I have been through and made it out of something similar to what you are going through.

It is probably anxiety. For whatever reason MDxx and RC induced anxiety seems to manifest itself in very strange ways. Try not to overthink it and stay positive and you will be ok.

Thanks dawglaw. Truly an inspiration. I strayed away from summer school for the moment as the pressure and strange feelings were becoming too distracting. I can't juggle a bunch of responibilities at the moment like I used to. Seen some people with similar symptoms due to RCs. Hoping neurology shows its just temporary.

just post here what the neuro says to you ;) just for connect more information about this strange issue after drugs (ssri, mdma, dopamine enhacers...) thanks!! :D

Hi gargaza sorry I couldnt reply to your message as you have exceeded your total number of messages instored. Here is my response:

He didn't really say anything about it.. He did initial tests and found nothing wrong with me. He didnt dismiss the possibility that whatever I took affected the chemistry of my brain and the only thing he said is that time is my only healer as there are no tests for serotonin changes etc

I am going through the exact same thing. Its been about 2.5 months and things have got better. Ive experienced DP DR, anxiety, depression, etc.. but those symptoms arnt too bad compared to the head pressure/tingling/headaches. I feel like this is the main issue i currently have, and its tough being in constant pain. I am also wondering if this is anxiety related.

Hopefully someone has gone through the same thing and can speak of a recovery story.

Glad to know someone else out there is feeling the same thing. In fact, I was just about to update on my head pressure. Long story short.. I was starting to react out of my emotions and the head pressure was becoming outstanding at some points during the day, so I tried a mild SSRI: Celexa. I know most people don't recommend this, but in my situation where I'm actually trying to continue my normal fucking life, I decided, fuck it.. I'll give it a try for a little while. I'm not trying to find an easy way out of this, I'm just trying to get over a heavily chemically imbalanced hurdle.

Anyway, after the first dose, I felt all the shitty side effects of the SSRI: frequent yawning, loss of appetite, lethargy, etc.. However, the next morning, I woke up and noticed... HEY, I can't even fucking notice my head pressure. Throughout the day, it was pretty much the same thing. Since taking it, my symptoms of the comedown haven't been so bad. I'm actually able to laugh, feel happy, and moreover feel comfortable. My physician prescribed me a 1month supply 10mg Celexa. How long I'll actually stay on it? Not sure. I don't even feel comfortable being on it longer than a week. I've only taken 3 doses so far. The results are pretty incredible.

I'm NOT saying go the SSRI route at all. In my case, I've only done ecstasy TWICE in my whole fucking life, and 3 months down the road, I'm still recovering from my little binge. I feel like I got served a life sentence for a misdemeanor. I was starting to worry my family & friends a lot. However, I was trying my best to beat it naturally, but sometimes supplements, exercise, & healthy diet only go so far especially when you're still trying to live normally (work, school, etc..)

Do what you feel is right. However, I think that the head pressure we feel is a physical manifestation of serotonin-related neurochemical issues which SSRIs/SSREs could possibly eliminate at least for the short term.. If you feel you can man it out, then more power to you! Shit, maybe even some Advil will help for the meantime.

I was curious, and thus did a search, and all I could find were instances of increased intercranial pressure/oedema in actute instances of MDMA overdose, and couldn't find an explanation of why you would experience such a thing chronically.

Swelling in your sinuses and vasoconstriction can cause similar symptoms. It's worth giving the advil a try, but it really doesn't work so well for such things.

Dunno what this is about, but I'm curious. I want an explanation for this lol

I am glad to hear the SSRIs are working for you. I am surprised to hear you got the results from the SSRI so fast as very often they can take a month or more to have any effect. Escitralopram is an interesting one as its an isomer of Citralopram. Many argue it was just a stunt by the Pharma company to extend the patent of citralopram by bringing out an isomer version but many also claim its superior to citralopram.

The only thing I would say is dont jump to any conclusions yet as its early days. Run the course for a good couple of weeks before giving the AD a full evaluation. Also look out for sexual dysfunction as SSRIs are notorious for that. However, you are on quite a low dose so you might even escape the side effects.

At this point we dont know for sure if the positives will continue and the pressure might return but I am very happy to hear you are feeling better. Also your experience might give some of the other sufferers more confidence to try an SSRI I am sure time will tell. Out of all the SSRIs the Citraloprams are a good one as they are quite mild. Some of the others are stronger and also the SNRI I took effexor made me feel totally out of my mind it was not nice.

One of the members Derok also recovered quite well whilst on SSRIs so its one of those things that if you can live without it then good but if the suffering is too much then maybe meds are the solution. Im always a bit sceptical myself as they have done nothing for me but we are all different and we are all on different levels of recovery so what might be bad for me might be good for you.

Good news anyway :) lets hope you can get through your exams now.

Yes futura thank you so much for the support. I will keep careful note of how the Celexa is affecting me throughout its course. It's a very mild SSRI and especially with the dosage that I'm at, the side effects I notice are very few. The most noticeable is the loss of appetite, which in turn makes me feel weak throughout the day. I can combat it, though. I do still have a neuro appointment scheduled in two weeks which I had wanted to be off the SSRI for, but I'm very torn about doing that now.. I'm afraid discontinuing early will bring back elevated symptoms of the comedown... and I'm also afraid of dependency on Celexa. I've never been prescribed medication for anything in the past besides acne treatment.. So I'm really weird about this stuff lol.

At any rate, I'll continue to note my progress in this thread and hopefully a full recovery can be attained in the near future. :)

Hey I am at month 5 of my recovery and my head pressure is barely noticeable to nonexistent. Eventually it will get better and you will be fine. The only time i get head pressure is when I smoke weed now, but the head pressure is getting less and less with each new time I smoke. Everything will even out and you will be fine. Just keep busy, eat right, exercise, and take omega 3s. AND stay off the internet! searching for symptoms causes more anxiety and head pressure! at least in my experience. Best of luck, and may the force be with you.

I have a feeling I know exactly what you are going through. After a night I spent with 1000mg to myself when i was younger (yes, yes. I am aware a gram is way too over the top) i started experiencing strange head pressure on the top of my head. Like a tingling intense pressure that only lasted for 5-10 seconds at a time. It got so bad to where if i was actually able to fall asleep i would wake in the middle of the night to it. Unfortunately, i have no advice on what to do or how to make it stop. I stopped using ALL chemicals for 2 weeks, and it seemed to fade away. It lasted a total of 1 1/2 months. Sorry i couldnt be of more help. I just thought maybe it would be comforting to know that i (think) i have been in the same boat. Good luck!
