Having major anxiety; need advice

SWIM went out Saturday night with four friends; each took a tab of MDMA and split another one later. They all had a good roll. Starting with the comedown, though, SWIM experienced extreme anxiety. It has now been five days (Thursday) and SWIM is still experiencing major anxiety. Has had no appetite all week; anxiety is worse in the morning. SWIM rolled twice in one week late August with no adverse comedown, and did one heavy night of cocaine use 4 weeks before this trip - had anxiety for a day or two afterward and then was fine.

SWIM has never had this reaction; no depression, just anxiety, and is concerned that it is still so strong five days out. The only thing that seems to help is Lorazepram. SWIM has had minor issues with anxiety in the past, but nothing compared to this. Will it end? Is it part of the normal comedown? Two of SWIMs friends are completely back to normal; one has had a bit of a bummer week but nothing like this.

Hi Cranberries, edit out all the SWIM stuff and tell us the real story please? Not only is it confusing but we don't do it here on Bluelight. Also a tab of MDMA? Um try exercising mate, fix up your story but tell your friend or you or your concubine to stay off any drugs and just keep a positive mindset.

Got it. Took a pill of MDMA (not tested, not sure how many grams <--stupid, I know) on Saturday, followed by a redose a few hours later. Drank relatively heavily that night too. Have been dealing with a shitload of anxiety since - basically has felt like a low level panic attack all week. Haven't really been able to eat at all either. Last time I took MDMA was last week of August, two pills over two nights, felt foggy for the next two weeks but that was about it. Did some blow about a month back and had two days of feeling uncomfortable. Now this; what the fuck is going on? I've been getting some exercise is but it's not helping too much for right now.

I don't know how long you've been doing MDMA for but my comedowns started becoming comedowns instead of afterglow after my 5th roll.

Perhaps the two rolls within one week called for a much longer break than the one you took. Look into more natural forms of comedown relief. I honestly doubt that the lorazepam will help you in the long run. Look into getting some 5-HTP, continue exercising, socialize, have a healthy sleep schedule, and eat healthy. After a night of MDMA I find eating one of the most helpful things in making me feel 'normal'. If you don't eat where are you going to get the nutrients to replenish your mind and body? Also, know that it will in fact get better. If you understand that your anxiety is going to get better, which it will, you won't find it as distressing. If you're thinking, "What if it won't?" know that that thought is induced by the anxiety itself.

Thank you Zalo. How long did it take for your comedowns to abate? I definitely don't think the Lorazepram is good for long term, but it's helping me get to work, which is what I need right now!

I was able to test the pills last night - silly, b/c we already took them- they came up yellow on bunk police, so anywhere from methylone to mdpv of mdppp - does anyone have any experience with these?

dont compare yourself to your friends. they are probably having a hard time too but not showing it. Everybody experiences the symptoms you are describing, but for whatever reason not everyone displays the symptoms or allows their mind to focus on the perceived brain damage. You will get through it, everybody does, its just a hard few days but thats a fair price to pay really

Doesn't really matter what the pills were now. You took them, nothing will change that, so get over it

Do you have any idea when I'll start to feel better? It's been 7 days and I still feel very wound up/loony

This reply may be late but it takes about a week to feel 80% normal then another week to feel 100% for myself. I have many friends who abuse MDMA much more than I do and seem unaffected by the comedown. They comment on feeling tired the next day, like a hangover, but that's all. I just accepted that I'm more susceptible to comedowns than my friends. We all have different body chemistries.
