Opioids Having a little dilemma

Hey there folks, I am having an issue with my current med situation.


I have been prescribed 1 - 1.5 mg of klonapin for the past few months. Tomorrow I am going on methadone and was wondering, will I be unable to take the 2 combined together? What I mean is, will my doctor stop prescribing me the klonapin because he knows I am starting methadone.


I really dont want to give up the klonapin at this time but also need to get on methadone before my condition spirals even more out of control.

Methadone and Klonoopin potentiate each other, it's entirely possible your Klonopin dose might get reduced so you stay breathing.
