As mentioned, Health Canada has previously partnered with Bluelight to survey Bluelight's users on their use of novel psychoactive substances. At the time, concerns were brought up that the survey results might be used to support legislation banning novel psychoactive substances in Canada.

Despite its innocuous name, Health Canada plays a similar role to the DEA in the United States when it comes to the scheduling of drugs. Just like the DEA in the United States can unilaterally "emergency schedule" a drug without government legislation having to be passed, Health Canada can unilaterally decide to prohibit a substance without any legislation. Unlike with "emergency scheduling" in the U.S., however, Health Canada's bans are permanent.

A few days after the 2017 survey closed, Health Canada banned a class of NPS including the compound U-47700. Part of the rationale for the ban included:

Just a coincidence? Maybe. And the role that the survey would have played in this decision, if it did play a role, would likely have been minimal. But I still think it's worth taking into consideration before deciding whether or not you would like to share your NPS experience with Health Canada.

U-4 series was trash same with that 2 something one the benzomidozoles tho got a buzz like oxy n strength of fentanyl. They found it in confiscated fake tabs
 
About 5-7 years ago Health Canada banned all the Methylphenidate analogs in addition to other substances like Carisoprodol and 0 desmethyl Tramadol

The Canadian Vendor posted an alert to this, and final date when items removed from product lineup. I bought 5 grams of 4F-MPH & IPH. Isopropylphenidate is actually a very function Ritalin analog with only 1/3 NET activity which has a better safety profile, less cardiovascular stress such as elevated HR & BP.

They even removed Gabapentin & Carisoprodol and Etizolam is nearly a ghost now. Certain Canadian vendors have been around for 10-15 years and have had very robust inventory and long product lineups

RC benzodiazepine are the greatest concern for Health Canada.

Diclazepam gets a lot of “no euphoria” bla bla but is invaluable for actual therapeutic usage. It’s main metabolite Delorazepam is a very long acting potent anxiolytic licences in Italy and metabolizes into Lorazepam (Ativan).

Etizolam
Deschloroetizolam
Diclazepam (Delorazepam & Lorazepam active metabolites)
Nitrazolam

These are all very good but would trade it all in for pharmaceutical Diazepam 10mg tablets
 
Health Canada bans substances so the survey won't get you in trouble but you're helping them ban drugs.
Makes sense why doctors are getting hesitant to prescribe benzos. People claiming sleepiness and relaxation as a high.
 
I would consider making a distinction between illegal and banning as prohibition has never prohibited anything. Many times it just makes providing the product very lucrative and thus promotes its availability.

Any substance that has a major market will find it.

Let's be clear: Health Canada is mostly like the FDA, in that it is the primary federal regulator of food and medicine. However, it has the power to unilaterally prohibit substances, without any new law being passed -- a power which it uses often. In this sense it is similar to the American DEA.

Health Canada approves and markets all pharmaceutical products
FDA in the USA functions in the same function….

It IS Health Canada 🇨🇦

the regulatory agency/authority that approves, sets guidelines / drug class CII, approves drugs for the market, makes laws, enforces penalties, etc, etc

Someone provide indisputable factual evidence that sets this straight please….🙏
