have to quit smoking

i have chronic pain 24/7. so i went to see my doc about getting more help with pain. he gave me this big lecture and had ti sign a contract, with a bunch of rules i had to agree to. he wanted to drug test me that day, so i told him i smoke weed to help with pain and he told me i have 30 days to pass a drug test. and then prescribed me 100 5 mg hydrocodone.

well now i cant sleep and the pills dont work as well for the pain. does the legal high stuff in the u.s. help with pain? :(
 
-If you cant sleep as well try picking up Melatonin from the vitamin section of a nearby convenience store (i.e. rite aid, walgreens, etc.)
it has something to do with the chemicals that cause the body to sleep in the brain.
Melatonin is kind of like a stimuli for sleep.

Dont doubt it, i did at first and then i found out the magic of Melatonin.



-And as for him drug testing you, you may or may not come up as positive due to how often you smoked... a good way to rid the body of evidence is to get very good exercise and drink some cranberry juice. Some people may suggest Detox kits but alot of people are skeptical about them
...Trust me, you dont want to be flagged as a drug abuser on your medical record.

-Maybe try a higher dose of the 100/5s' for the pain issue.

I can't say if the legal highs will work for pain, but I assume they will because it is very very similar to real weed. That is as long as you know which ones to look for, not those shitty ones out of high times.
 
if the weed works i'd stick with that or find a different doctor

OP you said you cant sleep with the pills and they dont work for the pain... then just keep blazing away and say screw the pills and find a better doctor
 
i hope your doctor has to test you for insurance reasons. if not, he's just being a total douchebag. i know he doesn't want to get scammed and what not, but geez.

you're getting drug tested to get more drugs. what if your pot dealer drug tested you for Oxy and PCP every time you wanted a bag...
 
i went to the docs because the weed wasnt working as well as it used to. i built a tolerance to where friends where nodding off from smoking too much with me, and i was just getting going. i would have to smoke 2-3 bowls of diesel for relief, the mids werent strong enough anymore. and being disabled i cant afford to smoke that much.

im going to try the melatonin and see if that works, thanks for the welcome to bl
 
gl man, i know how u feel. had to quit cold turkey for work b/c of insurance reasons w/ a vehicle.

the insomnia will pass after a week or two, at least for me anyways. mine was more mental though than physical. would wake up from extremely lucid dreams sweating.
melatonin definitely helps, and after two weeks you should feel a lot better sleeping.

as far as pain 5mg hydrocodones really are shit unless u have virtually no tolerance to painkillers whatsoever. bad disc in my neck right now and they gave me 5mg hydros, have to take two of them just to dull the neck pain for a couple hours.
 
my doc told me 5s where a starting point, when i go back in a month, if there not enough he would up them. with the melatonin how long before you go to bed do you take them? what really stinks my band is playing a Halloween party two days before my first drug test. all my smoking buds are going to be there.
 
Good luck with the pain management. I worked my doctor from Vicodin 5's all the way up to Opana ER and Oxycontin 30 mgs, so it is possible to get a much stronger opiate for the pain, but with strength, the abuse potential rises, so trust what your doctor says and be completely honest with him. He's only trying to help you!
 
Try Kadian. Great for all day long pain, just the XR sucks and you wont get high. But whats more important???
 
I'm in the same boat as you weed is my D.O.C. but due to legal issues i have had to cut back on my drug usage almost entirely. Though I am greatful today i can make the logical choice without much difficulty. In your case since you have to pass a test for a doctor id just use synthetic urine and sub it for your own. Since its not a legal chain of custody drop there is no legal repercussions in this senario. They may draw question to why your not showing opiates on your urine screening but you can easily make an excuse such as i wasnt in much pain lately so i only use them as needed. That excuse would probably be an legit excuse esp since most likely are will be using a "at home" test mostly likely over a highly sensative GC/MS with rediculously low cut off limits.
