Has anyone tried WWOOF-ing?

A good friend of mine has been into this for years; it's taken her all over the world, and she has nothing but good things to say about it. Note that she's a hard-core nomad to begin with, though; it's not really my cup of tea.

I've done it in several countries and gained so much from it. In terms of running a farm, you see practical scenarios. If you only have a couple of weeks, some places offer short stays. I would chuck a whole itinerary to farmstay. However, you won't always get lucky and some places tend to use free labor in a weird way, but you can always up and leave if it's terrible.

Generally if you have an interest in agriculture, doing hard work, and long-stay travel you should look into it. I've even made lifelong friends (and learning resources) from contacting farmers about staying, even in instances where my trips didn't pull through! If you have a garden, I would suggest farmstaying and coming home and experimenting with learnings-- don't wait til you acquire land or quit your day job!

I've learned something new today. I'd never heard of this before. I might try it! Did some research already, and there's a place that does it where I live. Sounds great!
