I'm asking the fucking questions!
Ok in all my 7 years of extensive drug taking I've tried over 40 kinds of drugs from weed, to amph to shrooms to benzos...
One thing I've never tried and don't plan on trying at any stage is glue. But that doesn't mean I'm not curious, and I'd just like to ask anyone who's tried it - what is it really like? I heard its brilliant but I've never got much more of a trip report than that...
The closest I've came is huffing butane in the past from a lighter fluid tin lol...
Don't flame me, I'm simply asking so I don't have to try myself, I'm sure your all curious to know what all drugs feel like too.
Well? Anyone? B-)

i did it once at a very low point of my life. the fumes feel like burning inhaling glass dust, the 'high' feels like a punch to the head and it only lasts a few minutes and i cannot overstate how caustic the fumes feel when inhaled. i'd rather get drunk on isopropyl than do that again. horrible, horrible experience

Oh really? I thought glue was supposed to be a rather good high, someone told me he heard helicoptors or something too once :/ thanks for your input man.

Inhalants are not worth the risks, it's highly important to perform a basic RRR (Risk vs. Reward Ratio) prior to administering any drug.

I know dude that's why I've never tried glue, meth or heroin. The meth and the heroin I might try at some stage in my life at least once out of curiosity (not iv) but I think ill steer clear of glue... The culture of “glue sniffers” in my area are normally the lowest of the low, I wouldn't want to be lumped into their catagory...

Hearing helicopters is something I can do any time sober without poisoning my body with chemicals and carcinogens.

Methamphetamine and Heroin are IMO safer than inhalants, there is a lot more HR to be applied.

Meth and h are less harmful to the body/brain than inhalants in pure form , just felt like advising u not to even try those once OP ... Every addict has naively said 'just wanna try it once' and most have said they're never gonna IV .

I know some 13 year olds in my neighborhood who do it, I could ask them if you'd like.

Yeah I suppose but when you think about it, most people try it and don't end up addicts, of course there is the possibility but I don't have that addictive personality. Cocaine and benzos are never a problem for me anyway

Lol please do, and satisfy my curiosity

Inhalants may not be as addictive as methamphetamine or heroin, but the short and long term health consequences are severe enough to deter me from ever considering inhalants.

Here is a REAL source -

According to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Science, 32 percent of people who try tobacco become dependent, as do 23 percent of those who try heroin, 17 percent who try cocaine, 15 percent who try alcohol and 9 percent who try marijuana.

Huh, youd think the #s would be constant across the board. Who decides whether these people are "dependent" or not?

Also: me and all the kids used to sniff the rubber cement in art class in middle school. Shit got us dumb giggly but would make me dizzy as fuck. Placebo or real effect I dont know, but it was stupid and not worth the time or effort. Smelled pretty good though.

Eh I feel its all willpower. I sometimes smoke cigs, i can smoke for a week straight then just stop CT for a whole month, I leave them sitting in front of me and I don't crave, Same goes for me with blow and xanax I got over 200, prob close to 300 now and haven't touched them since I tapered down, almost a month now.

Who decided? Clinicians with the requisite training in diagnosing mental health and substance use disorders evaluate if individuals meet the criteria for substance dependence disorder according to the DSM-IV-TR criteria set presumably.

Haze, the essential difference between someone who will get addicted and someone who won't is if will power is enough. Also, some drugs such as methamphetamine actually physically deteriorate areas of the brain responsible for executive functioning neurologically reducing the ability to fully weigh consequences of their actions. Beginning serious substance abuse early enough prior to the development of the prefrontal cortex has a similar effect at arresting development of this area of the brain reducing individuals' ability to appreciate the long-term consequences of their actions. In short, a lot of people can't simply will addiction away and in fact what we call addiction is basically when someone can't just will it away.

Inhalants are really whacky shit, I don't see the point in sniffing glue. Ether and Nitrous have their own little niche, I suppose they could/should be coined inhalants.

When I was 12/13, I went through a brief phase of huffing glue, paint, gasoline, tolulene, etc.
Nasty stuff. Brief high, followed by headaches and that nasty taste for hours. High risk; low benefit. Don't do it.

As far as alcohol & tobacco go, I was pretty much addicted immediately. I've done a lot of drugs and been addicted to several. IMHO, tobacco is by far the hardest to quit permanently once you're really hooked. After many serious attempts to quit, I still have the tobacco monkey on my back.

Oh, and once in rehab I met a guy who really was hopelessly addicted to inhalants. Homeless and unemployable, his friends were winos but he didn't drink or do other drugs. He was a really nice guy and relatively intelligent. I was baffled by his addiction. So was he.

SORRY, off topic..

Also, some drugs such as methamphetamine actually physically deteriorate areas of the brain responsible for executive functioning neurologically reducing the ability to fully weigh consequences of their actions.

Can the brain recover from this? Is this a lasting side effect if the person quits methamphetamine? Does it only happen with chronic use?
